I see all the names mentioned and a lot from power 4 conference team and I just go back and look at the recent hires of top programs. You just don't see many coaches leaving a power 4 conference for another power conference jobs. I just hope a lot of our fan base aren't expecting a big time coach leaving their current job. You might see a Big 13 coach leave if they don't think they will have their net to compete.

I was listening to 107.5 just now and they were talking about Stevens and his contract with the Celtics. The host said he has heard the Brad has some equity in the Celtics. He has heard that once the sale of the Celtics is final that Brad will have a payment coming to him. The stipulation is that Brad has to still be an employee of the Celtics. If this is the case and if the amount is pretty substantial Brad probably isn't leaving until the sale is final if at all.

He is just messing with the fan base. He doesn't know anymore than the rest of us.

I truly doubt anyone directly involved are telling anybody any kind of news. If that person does tell random people inside things that person should be fired.

I also see people saying we need to get a young coach who can be here 20+ years but I don't see many coaches staying that long in one place going forward. I think it was on the X's and Joes podcast that looked at the longevity of coaches in D1 right now. It showed that coaches being at a place over 20 years is like at 3%. The majority of the coaches are in years 1-5 meaning that a lot of turnover has been happening

I see a lot of post saying we have to get a coach who consistently will have us contending for titles, which I agree with. What I see as a problem is that every candidate that is brought up people are saying that coach hasn't show the ability to compete for championships. . My thinking is the coaches who have won championships or are a contender every year are not coming here. Even coaches people like on here like TJO or Beard hasn't shown the ability to be a contender every year. We are going to have to hire a coach and hope with our resources they will be in better position to be a contender every year.
