So if that is the case then UK is no longer a blue blood as well since they struck out on of their top candidates. People need to just look at the last 5 years of job openings and who was hired. A lot of of top jobs had come open and haven't been filled with elite coaches

I doubt the fans are the reason Beard won't be hired but the AD and the President won't want to take the chance on him

I really hope this is a joke because if you think they should be sitting around and moping all night is strange to me. Also again we have no idea what has happened the last few days and if any of the things said on here is remotely close to what happened

If you are expecting a championship caliber team every year you probably will be disappointed. Even RMK had some seasons they weren't a championship caliber teams

He did make the final four and lost on a half court shot at the buzzer. There is not much higher of a ceiling than that

People think he won't leave the state of Texas and would be a top candidate for the UT if it comes open

The thing is who is considered elite is not going to leave their current job. Last year UK and UL tried to get those elite coaches and were turned down. They got what people would say was a B name candidate and they are doing fine.

The only sliver of hope when it comes to Stevens would be that he didn't really say anything about the IU job. Also Nic Daban was more blunt about the Alabama job and still took it. Saying that I would be happy with most of the candidates mentioned on her and only be disappointed if it got down to the Moser or Brownell types of coaches

How do we really know what Dolson has done in this search. Just because some random guys come on message boards saying things that is happening doesn't make it correct
