  1. Sports gripe: Indiana sports at the collegiate and professional levels, as a whole, stink!
  2. Interestingly, Schertz graduated from FAU. Either Schertz or May - my vote is for anyone with an FAU connection to be IU's next HC
  3. @rcs29 $7M base + incentives and he could double his earnings. He’s only 53 so assume he has minimum 10 years left in his tank. Don't know if many men in history could turn down $75M+ before retirement
  4. “(Scott) Drew made $3,284,490 in base salary with $1,739,167 in bonuses. Add in a shade more than $100,000 in other income and Drew was paid $5,132,821” $7 million gets IU a proven winner
  5. Bump 3 years and 5 days later
  6. Do they know they are allowed to pass fake
  7. Idk if one game can call for firing but you have to hope
  8. There's always a chance and when there's not, there's luck
  9. No, it wasn't aimed at you my man or anyone specifically. But after IU wins, I'm going back through the last 24hrs of posts so if you catch a stray, I'm sorry kind of. I'm with you on Calbert being a GOAT
  10. If IU wins tonight I am going to flirt with a ban on quote tweeting some of you negative nellies. Convinced that some on here enjoy IU struggles so they can ostracize people they've never met and complain about things like.. who sits where on the bench
  11. An informative, educational, and not protagonist response. That's great, thank you for not attacking my lack of basketball IQ and instead educating with a data-driven response. Hope others see this and tailor their own responses throughout the board. Stuff like this is what I love about BtownBanners - the personal attacks and instigative responses I do not enjoy. 5 stars @str8baller
  12. @WayneFleekHoosier What's your going rate?
  13. Upgraded to an LED bumper sticker if his teams shoot over 65% FT%
  14. If I'm elected AD, LCS gets retained if he can hit 10/10 FTs
  15. Great job @cybergates I think time is cyclical and IU can only be prominent again for fixing the mistakes of the past. Candidates in order: 1. Kelvin Sampson - he gets a blank check and an apology letter 2. Tom Crean - he gets $2.5M/yr and an apology letter 3. Brad Stevens - he gets to fill in his own salary, a new car yearly for him + all eligible drivers in his immediate family, free apparel for him+family anywhere in Bloomington, and eminent domain is enacted for any property in the state of Indiana that Brad wants. If he hangs a banner, any building on campus gets renamed to his choosing + he gets a lifetime contract at $10M/yr. 4. Loaded Chicken Sandwich: he gets $200k + $2M to fill assistant coaching spots and a used 1999 Toyota Corolla w/ IU bumper sticker Dang I should be the AD if LCS gets to be HC
  16. I'm sure Bennett would be successful anywhere he goes, but after watching Archie/Woodson's philosophy for the last half-decade+ I'm firmly in the camp of getting an offensive oriented coach. My assessment of Bennett could be off, not an expert or even mediocre at knowing other league's coaches, but I do know that I love when the ball goes in the hoop and strongly dislike 50-52 score games. I'll reiterate this again, as I'm sure I'll do 100 more times over the next 16 months: TOM CREAN OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR (not a joke) hire me
  17. I'd love hearing of May (or any coach) taking a lesser guarantee and having a heavily incentivized contract that rewards winning (20 games, B1G, BTT, S16, FF, etc)
  18. So with the news of IUBB having benign talks of life after Coach Woodson, it's worth asking from those who'd know: Is Woodson flirting with the idea of retirement, or is this strictly others talking about the what's to come after him? @Chris007
  19. On the news of teams hiring OC's I can't wait to hear it this summer, "It's Indiana, It's Indiana"
  20. Former huge X fan here, I don't think it's the actions alone that have turned people off - it's a combination of things (not in order): 1. Suspension during season last year 2. Flagrant fouls 3. Visible attitude since being benched 4. Run-ins with the law Most fans overlooked the reckless driving and attempt to skate the repercussions and personally I'd had overlooked the poor on court display if it wasn't paired with #2,3. That being said I do not rag on the guy; it is in IU's interest if he can get over the hump as they say and revert to late 2022 form. Seems he's pressing and attempting to be too unselfish; he needs a game away from Assembly and our fans where he scores 15+ to get him back on track. Don't be fooled - as soon as he wins us a game, he'll be back in good graces with everyone (If he abuses Chucky tonight and pulls one out in the Kohl Center everyone will be singing his praises this weekend)
  21. https://x.com/cbb_central/status/1748056247411056934?s=46&t=KBMjZuJJTG50JspPvw-4aA
  22. Before TJD returning as a Jr, and to your point Jaquez at UCLA, I'd say no chance. In current day NIL making a hefty sum of $, being the man w/ national notoriety, and improving draft position from late 1st/2nd rd to mid-early 1st is a viable option. I believe we get the entire front court back (assumption based only) and if that does happen IUBB next year has elite level talent up front w/ experience and age. Regardless of who does or doesn't come back, the portal needs for IU has to sit at "guard, guard, guard" - - - Remaining home games: Iowa, Penn St, Northwestern, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Michigan St Remaining away games: Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio St, Purdue, Penn St, Maryland, Minnesota Need 8 wins out of the next 13 games
