IUBB vs Purdue - Sunday, 02.23.25 @ 1:30 on CBS

Way back to Bracey Wright? -
The irony of you calling anything toxic is laughable. How is criticizing Beard any different than getting on here everyday and repeating the same garbage about Woodson. Is he the second coming of the devil? Should we put winning above all else. Get off your high horse about people not wanting a guy who admits to having a drinking issue, and had DV (suffocation /strangulation) charges dropped, which most cases are. You hate CMW for not winning games, but love Beard because he'll win us more games. Isn't you criticizing others for having a different viewpoint, essentially you judging others?
-
I believe the number of DV cases that are dropped by the victim is around 70-80%. Sad.
-
Love his energy and has plenty of connections. And a ringing endorsement from Coach K would carry some weight. Not saying he's a sure thing, but man would love to see him with more talent.
-
I would absolutely be okay with a Collins, after a few more get crossed off. Would love to see his system ran with better athletes. Great bloodline.
-
But a coach who admits he needs alcohol after a stressful day doesn't make you have concerns. Would this pond be too big for him to keep his stress reliever under control?
-
Kind of like some people trashing our current coach day in and day out? I'm not a fan of Woodson, but you acted like he was accused of domestic abuse. Pot meet kettle.
-
I thought we were the only ones with a "toxic" fanbase lol
-
Definitely hard no's lol

This isn't an airport, no need to announce a departure. It's a free message board, come and go as you please. If anyone is putting too much stock(one way or another) in the search, then it's on them. Not sure it ranks in my top ten in priorities in my daily life.

Apples and Oranges

Have you seen the list of the top wishlists of the UK faithful? In their eyes, where did Pope sit? Top 10? We have different expectations, realistic or not, and that's okay. With the money being talked about, someone on this list won't be able to turn us down. Maybe I'm delusional, but this program is due. I think Dolson is going to get the right guy.
-
If we're not a good enough program anymore, where we can't get a Stevens, May, Pearl, Oats, Drew, Golden, TJ, or McDermott(maybe few more), then we've solidified ourselves as "once a blue blood" program. Top money for a coach/coaches Top NIL money Top fanbase(pro or con) The money to upgrade facilities where needed? We need a homerun -Brownell is far from it
-
I'd give BB being our next coach, the same percentage as the asteroid hitting the earth by 2032. 2%
-
And maybe Golden at 4
-
Pure gold!

I think the new ownership angle is bigger than people are making of it.
-
Wouldn't donating time and money to many organizations and people in need, be considered somewhat of a good man? Many, many faults, but many, many good deeds.
-
My wife and kids have said the same thing. They would not allow me to put myself through that. Put the ego aside and let us still separate the player from the coach.
-
Retire tomorrow after a "great" road win, for health reasons. If the interim turns it around and wins out, he'll take credit for getting them over the hump/OSU. If they continue losing, he was just getting them over the hump/OSU. Win-Win. I'm in the camp of him not coaching in Bloomington again. His friends and family should not allow him to let his legacy be destroyed.
-
Sounds like a ringing endorsement for either Ya or Kenya. Auditioning for a position elsewhere, means we will get the best version of either. Win-Win Because there's no way in hell, either one is auditioning for this job. I'm sure that would be mentioned in the first 5 minutes of the conversation.
-
Great post! Everyone's arrived at the same place, just at different times.
-
Paul Westhead and Dabo Swinney come to mind. Your excuses for not firing immediately, don't hold water. There is not one Fortune 500 company that holds on to an incompetent upper management employee until the next fiscal year.(unless there's corruption) Not sure what your position is, or length of tenure is, but maybe you are part of the problem in the administration as well. Your "optics" argument is laughable and embarrassing.

Yes. Pre NIL and post NIL
