(2024) - PF Caleb Williams to Georgetown

Appreciate you posting! Really like Williams alot. Comes from a great family. Everyone I spoke to about him just raved about his character, IQ on the floor, feel, being a student of the game, etc., etc. A good student, as well. From what I understand, he is WIDE open with his recruitment.

(2023) - SG Jamie Kaiser Jr. to Maryland

From the intel I've gathered here in the DMV, the Maryland staff feels more "confident" that DeShawn Harris-Smith will commit than Kaiser, for two main reasons: 1. They apparently are the only program presenting him with the opportunity to come in and play PG, and; 2. Obviously, he's a hometown kid and his fam and friends would be able to come watch him all the time. For Kaiser, people seem to be split on opinions, kinda like this thread lol. Some are fully convinced he's a lock for the Terps, while others believe Indiana has the upper hand. Both guys come from really good families. They're high character, level-headed kids. A reminder that you can check out their complete games at these links, complete with film clips of every aspect of their skillsets: Jamie Kaiser Player Evaluation DeShawn Harris-Smith Player Evaluation Good luck!
  4. Thank you for the kind words! Honestly, I will have to reserve judgment until I see him play more of the position this year. I will say that he looked great during the live period events against some good comp, but it will obviously be different playing point in the Big 10. He was able to push the pace and get what he wanted at will, but I'd like to see him in games where he needs to handle heavy full-court man pressure, enter the ball into the offense, and run the half-court offense in more methodical environments that will mimic close college games (some, not all). He's been in plenty of these over the first 3 years of his prep career playing a national schedule and in the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference, but none really playing the point for extended periods. His team will be loaded this year, and they do have a pure PG on the roster, who he will undoubtedly split minutes at the point with, so it will be interesting. Sorry for the long-winded answer... I think the important thing to take away is that he is capable... He is capable of serving, at minimum, as a primary ballhandler who can spare a starting PG when needed, while also serving primarily as a secondary facilitator. Hope I answered that one okay...
  5. You would love this kid. Plays so hard, but is also extremely smart. Have watched him play A LOT since he was a freshman, and he has gotten better and better. Saw him play several times during the DMV Live Events in June with his high school team, Paul VI. Their Assistant Coach, Lamar Butler, who played guard for the George Mason team who went to the final 4 back in 2006, started him at PG a few times and he was stellar. An absolute dog on both ends of the court. Just gotta keep working on the jumper.

It sounds like he wants to make a decision soon, and with the next two weekends being live period events, it doesn’t leave him much time to visit (unless he does so during the week).

Here is a full evaluation on Queen that was written back in January: Player Evaluation. Since this evaluation, he has grown another inch to 6'9". His outside jumper has improved as well. The kid is the goods.

Tough to say because he has so many schools pursuing him and he hasn't really given any indication of who he favors. There is the rumored connection of Carmelo Anthony/Mike Woodson having some influence, but who really knows there. No word on official visits as of yet. He seems like a good kid who is trying to stay focused on improving his game. Not sure about the relationship with Coach Hunter either. Sorry, I'm not full of helpful info here!
