I´m on board the BS train. It might be wishful thinking, but it gives us something to hope for, right? A lot has changed in the last 4 years in the world. People are at different stages of life for all various reasons. It definitely makes sense, for a whole ton of reasons. And he´s what, 48? A 12 year contract sounds about right here...puts him at 60-61 and we´re likely back in the national spotlight again. Maybe wishful thinking...but to me, it makes much more sense now. 12 seasons with BS to have a head coach in waiting on his staff? Can you imagine the level of assistants he would bring on? It was BS or Woody this last time around. Beard was a hard no from people that matter apparently. (I would want Beard if it ain´t BS) I know that for a fact. I think most of you do too. The people who bring info here aren´t budging @ap2345 @Chris007 and others. It makes sense, doesn´t it? Hoping for a win tonight. I stole a road win last night as a middle school coach. Best game of the year for my team in a totally unexpected way, why not us tonight?

Not in the slightest....I´m saying IU society is going to require the next coach to win immediately. Or he wiĺl be toast too.

What´s everyone going to think when the next coach loses their first ¨bad loss" game? Awful lot of right now people, and society isn´t letting up on that.

Most of this fanbase would rally around Ronald McDonald at this point. I´d be fine with Beard, especially when he wins...

I haven´t really weighed in all that much about this... IU men´s basketball is being run like an NBA franchise. Instead of hoping for good draft picks (HS recruits) we´re throwing $$$ into free agency (transfer portal) and hoping we can come up with a squad. There´s talent on this roster, likely the most we´ve had (especially in the backcourt) but it´s not going to change. We have one recruit for next year. Planning on going shopping again Iḿ sure... The fact that Fife, Matta, and Adam Howard all left or were let go, paints a pretty clear picture to me. I´m the type of person....I don´t care who the coach is...just win. Win games, compete for conferences titles and 2nd weekends. I´ve stated I want Chris Beard. Just my opinion, I know what others think and say no way. That´s fine, I respect your opinions too. Also, IU football gear at school hits way different!!!!!! Let´s shock the non-IU world tonight!

I believe you....but don´t you agree? You´re a coach right? Switching lockers of 22-23 year old MEN seems like the lowest of pettiness. But like I said above, my opinion doesn´t (and never will) matter on the issue.

I´m not picking sides (ultimately doesn´t matter) but if we´re talking about separating teammates´ lockers? Thatś something you do in high school, not with NIL college athletes. I´m sorry, but I don´t buy that reason, like at all. If it is true, it´s extremely childish. The recruiting discussions would carry a lot more weight and make much, much more sense...

Haha no, that would be people who want the optics to fit their narrative. Someone wondered where he was because others were there, threw it out there, and people who wanted to, ran with it.

Long story short...it's not even over yet, and I feel for the kid. All these opinions about what he should or shouldn't do. It's just nonsense. It's his and his family's decision. It will have 0 impact on your life. Does it stink? Sure. But I have a feeling this year's results and "offensive schemes" will be different from the past 3 years. There are some people who would ***** if we went undefeated and won it all. Could have been worse...what if we were eliminated instead of Michigan? UConn is attractive, especially to a 17 year old. Back to back national champs want me? like really bad? Who could possibly turn that opportunity down? Especially if its what HE and HIS FAMILY think is best. They might be right, might be wrong. It's part of making choices and seeing the results.

I don't know...the timing of everything...the way tYme spoke on X/Twitter, fell in line with everything that was actually going on. Time with a Y? Oddly enough, Tyme is active today defending the weak non-conference schedule to bloggers/online folks. I don't know...maybe he tweets like he talks? tYme also appears to be tight with Adam Howard, so I guess those reasons/guesses are my reasoning.

I would be willing to wager lots of $$$ that "TYME" is/was Yasir
