Kind of old but go back to the style of play where you have more ball movement and player movement. I hate the offense in basketball today and don't like all the pick in roll and isolation plays. If you don't have NBA talent players it doesn't work. This is why the product we see today is so bad compared to the past. Having college players running pro offense is a disaster.

We had an elite coach but at the time of hire it wasn't a splash hire. I guess some fans didn't like going to the slower pace than they were use from the Hurryin Hoosiers. For the most part got elite players from 3 states but went outside to get a key player or two. We played very fundamental and played hard all the time. We had a coach that held everyone accountable and didn't coddle players no matter who you were. We got players who mainly improved over their 4 years at IU.

Actually I think if Woodson can't turn it around then I don't think anyone will for awhile. We keep blaming the coaches and making changes every 5 or so years and it hasn't worked.

Well we turned away for 20 years on what made IU great so maybe it was time to try that formula again. Maybe Archie didn't recruit the right Indiana kids or didn't know how to coach fundamental players. Most of Purdue's roster is Indiana kids and they have done well.

As for being elite did people actually think we wod be elite within 1.5 years of the hiring of Woodson. I thought we could compete for the big ten this year and some of that was what other teams list from last year. I never thought we had a chance to get to the final four and thought sweet 16 was probably the ceiling

He has the stats but I don't put him in the all the great players. I think Allan Henderson is a far superior player because he did many things well offensively.

I don't mind change if it makes things better. I actually think it would have been best to put money on a new arena instead of renovating AH. I think we need to have the student section all together going all the way around the first 10 rows. I just found it odd people thinking uniforms are a reason for us not being elite

Read my post below because we have done our part. In my first 23 years we won 3 championships and went to 5 final fours and won a lot of big ten titles. Maybe it is time for your age group to step up and do better.

I didn't say I was what makes IU relevant but the older fans do. Once we are gone what will you have if we don't have success soon. Younger people have a lot more things that can occupy their time and a lot of things they can spend their money on. If IU don't win then they will find other alternatives and won't worry about IU basketball. When we grew up we didn't have that so all we had was to watch IU games and luckily for us they were winning big. We did our part because in my first 23 years we won 3 championships made 5 final fours and won a lot of big ten titles. Maybe it is time for you younger fans to step up and do your part LOL!

Well if you read the post that I responded to was how RMK, Pitino and Calhoun didn't take a lot of time to win. So why not point that out to others pisters besides myself.

Coach K, Dean Smith, John Wooden took at least 4 years before they had success. At Duke they almost fired coach K after his third year.

Tell you the truth I can't tell the difference in our uniforms because they have always looked the same to me . Only difference is the length of the shorts.

My god if this is the kind of things that the kids think about when choosing a school no wonder the product on the court is so much worse today and than it use to be.

It was going away from what made IU great is the problem and they finally brought back a person who knows what it takes to be successful at IU .

Like I said if a recruit picks a school fur swag then I don't want him here. Sorry to burst it to you but the only thing keeping IU relevant are us older fans who have actually seen IU be elite. After we are gone the big time following probably will dwindle because the newer fans haven't seen success.
