We have 2 problems. One we hold onto to coaches way too long. Second, our administration is extremely picky. They refuse to hire any surefire winner if that guy has even an ounce of baggage in his past. Think Bruce Pearl. If they ever hire a big name it would have to be a Brad Stevens or a Jay Wright. My chances of winning the Powerball are about as likely as that. We are just too holy as Chris once said.

And he won't have a title game run to bail him out for a few years like Davis did.

Solution: Fire Woody after the season and hire Dusty May. Woody is 66 and will not be here long no matter what. Dusty could coach another 20+ years and looks very promising. See what he can do here. It can't possibly get any worse and he could very well be the next big thing. We know what we have with Woody and it's not the answer.

Kelvin has a top 5 team yet again. The administration has no one to blame but themselves for this disaster.

We've had plenty of big time coaches we could've landed that would've made us elite again over the years... Pitino, Matta, Beilein, Pearl, Drew, etc. Our administration just doesn't care. I'm convinced they all have the Michael McRobbie attitude that athletics are a nuisance.

I sure hope Caitlin Clark doesn't come back. Indy just landed the #1 pick again.

Just what I heard. My dad is friends with a very big booster. Probably over 8 figures donated and he told him right when Archie was canned that Stevens was a done deal. I could certainly be wrong.

Sounded like he thought he had Stevens in the bag, got used and abused by Tracy Stevens, and then panicked and hired Woody. I don't think he ever had a backup.

I don't post much but honestly this could be a huge positive. Woody is old and will not be here long no matter what. Better to rip the bandaid off quickly. What if Cody had gone elsewhere and Crean was canned after year 3? We'd likely be a lot better off today.
