    I do think it will absolutely be Brad or bust. Not because I don’t think there are other good coaches we could get but I’m certain Dusty is the #2 and I doubt he says no. I think he would be a really bad hire for IU. Just doesn’t have the chops or the personality to succeed here imo. UM which is a football school is a much better fit for Dusty. IU is way too much of a fishbowl.

    Depends how the negotiations go and who they ultimately hire. Surely they know by now that they can’t just let Brad jerk them around for 2 weeks after the season ends. If he has genuine interest a deal will be made quickly. But yes, if it ends up being another Charlie Brown going for the football situation and we end up with Shrews or someone similar then the **** will hit the fan.

    She blocked me on X right when he was hired. I just made one comment saying that although Woodson wasn’t my first choice he seemed like a good guy who loves IU and I wished him well. I’m assuming the first choice comment got under her skin. Much like her father.

    I have no doubt he’d have us in the tournament just about every year with some S16 runs. Other than the one FF during the COVID season he never does more though. Would obviously be a massive upgrade but he wouldn’t make my top 5 of realistic candidates.

    And he fell off the Earth at Georgia despite having arguably the best player in the nation for one season. He now can’t get hired anywhere. Archie has been pretty mediocre at best at RI. Again, we hire bad coaches and then keep them for far too long.

    What we have done for 25 years is consistently hire bad coaches. I predicted all of them would fail miserably at the time they were hired outside of Sampson. We just need to hire a good coach. I will give agree with you that outside of Brad all the other potential hires are very risky. But this is IU so no sense in arguing about coaches we know will never get hired here.

    I totally understand why some here don’t want Wade or Beard. I get it. But outside of those 2 and Brad I really think everyone else is a total crapshoot. I’d be shocked if any of those 3 just mentioned didn’t win big here. Lets hope Brad is finally ready to come home.

    That was likely just a cop out by Buckner. He knew they probably couldn’t get Stevens and Dolson would never be allowed to hire Pearl.

    Woody just sucks. I know most on here hate him but I still think most are underestimating just how incompetent he truly is. And for reference, little Archie landed Romeo, Trayce, and Lander.

    He’s the next Tubby, Davis, Ollie, Weber, etc. Inherited a HOF coach’s players and had a nice year of 2 then all downhill once he had to do things on his own.
