    What about other schools with big recruits coming in like Houston, Rutgers, Baylor, etc? Is their NIL a lot better? PSU and Butler both have a top 40 guy coming in.

    My biggest concern with Cronin would be recruiting. Doesn’t look like he’s landed a single top 100 player in 2025 and only got one in 2024 and that was a kid from LA. I feel like Alford recruited a lot better there. Is he really that much of an @$$ that no one wants to play for him?

    And if Brad or Tracy were seriously negotiating with IU do you really think Brad would go and inform the Celtics brass of that? No one who is thinking of taking another job goes and tells their current employer that until it’s a done deal.

    He’s very biased though. Has always seemed to be much more of a Celtics fan than an IU fan. Anytime someone has mentioned Stevens and IU over the years he seems offended. Almost like someone is trying to poach his wife. Not saying he’s wrong at all just extremely biased. But no I don’t think we’re getting Stevens.

    No not really. Said great things about Indiana and IU. A couple weeks later called himself a masshole.

    He knows a lot of people. Has Leary, Bozich, Mike Decourcy, etc on his show all the time. Has had Dusty on before. He knows a ton of people. And given how ridiculous NBA salaries have gotten I believe him.

    If Brad is really making almost $11.5M with the Celtics I think it will be tough to make a deal.

    I’m pretty sure Brad was in the stands when RMK threw the chair. He supposedly cheered and pumped his fist in the air. Someone on HSN keeps saying IU needs to embrace the villain role again. I completely agree.

    Buzz is a classic high floor low ceiling hire. He will never keep the fans happy. Would be better to go with an up and comer. At least then we’d have hope.

    Buzz Williams is the type of guy you would expect IU to hire if there was no NIL or portal and Mike Woodson had just been caught cheating and the entire program had been blown up with no scholarship players left. We will do better.

    I think the thinking is if it gets past Brad and Dusty the administration might really have no choice. Maybe they feel really good about their top choices right now but what if they fall through? I think if the hire is a Buzz Williams type it’s probably the end of the program. Too many people would just check out.
