    If you know Bruce Pearl you know that he has a massive, massive ego. He’s all about Bruce Pearl. He would love a fishbowl job like IU. In honestly it’s probably his dream job in all of college basketball. But the timing just isn’t there. He’s too old and has it rolling at Auburn. But given the right circumstances, he’d absolutely jump for a chance at the IU job.

    Won’t happen. If Dolson hired Brownell I expect the fan base to personally hide-strap his @$$ to a pine rail and send Scott up the Monon Line.

    Woody and Davis beat Purdue pretty good. The fan base only got more divided.

    There are guys like Otz, Lloyd, and Drew that would come close. But even they have their haters. I really hope one of those 3 says yes. Otherwise good chance we’re doing this again in a few years.

    He simply checks every single box for all parties. He’s the one hire who would make both the administration and the fans extremely happy. No one else can come close. That’s why Dolson has pursued him so heavily.

    If we’re willing to throw $10M at Brad we should be willing to throw at least $8M at Lloyd. But it’s not my money of course.

    We need to move on. He wants the job or he doesn’t. If he does he would’ve said yes by now.

    Drew should be the obvious #1 assuming Brad and Dusty are out. I’d be shocked if he wasn’t #1 on Dolson’s board. Better hope we get him or a lot of people will be disappointed and a good chance we’re hiring another coach in a few years.

    He'd be 61 when the season starts and he's another Alford. Good at small schools not cut out for a big job. I promise you they'd regret that hire. The fans would be rooting for his firing from the jump. Much better to go with an up and comer if it got that far. I highly doubt it does.

    I’ll never understand the McDermott love. I’m very confident he’d be an epic failure. I can’t always spot success even if it’s right in front of me but I can almost always spot a train wreck a mile away. We do not want McDermott.

    Nope there's none. If you have no plans to leave you gladly agree to a higher buyout in exchange for a higher salary or guaranteed NIL funds.

    Turgeon is not under consideration don’t be crazy. He wouldn’t crack the top 25 of realistic candidates.
