I think everyone has known Woody would be gone for a while now.

Why would the Celtics want him involved in any moves if he’s leaving? It would be a terrible look if he was making moves for a billionaire dollar franchise when he has a foot out the door. Would probably be a breach of his contract too.

If Stevens is the guy we will know very soon imo. He’s not going to string the Celtics along. He will inform them of his plans as soon as he knows and word will leak out.

I’m sure another NBA team would have to but I doubt Dolson would need to nor should he.

If it Stevens I would expect to hear something sooner rather than later. There is no reason for the Celtics to want him around if he has a foot out the door.

It seems like every hire we have made has come out of left field. I don’t think there was a single person 4 years ago that thought Woody was even an option. I expect a lot of smokescreens. But a Cronin or Buzz like hire is probably accurate.

I really like Dusty May. I think he's a fantastic human being. I'd love to have him as my neighbor.

You'll have half the fan base against him from day one. The war drums would already be beating at his opening press conference. Would absolutely have to make the S16 year one. Alford made 3 in 4 years at UCLA. Got fired.

Beard would win more. I know he has baggage but honestly, if Brad says no I'm not sure they have any other choice. Heads will roll everywhere if they get this hire wrong.

The national guys really don’t have a clue. They are saying we won’t land a name simply because we didn’t the last few times. Those were all really weird and unique circumstances. The goal in those searches was never to go out and simply hire the best coach we can get. There were so much politics, nepotism, racism, etc involved. That won’t be the case this time. Dolson is doing the search and I feel he can hire almost anyone he wants. If we were ever going to land a big name now would be the time.

He’s not the coach we’re looking for I assure you. I do think he’s the most likely hire though. Better pray Brad says yes or we’re doing this again in 4 years.

He plays in a garbage conference and has a #1 or 2 seed almost every year. It doesn't mean he beat anyone to get there. Tom Crean as the #1 seed beat lowly James Madison and Temple. Not something to toot your horn about.

Yes. Brad in 2021 and Harrelson come to mind. But we're all wrong now and then. I still believe.

Don't get why anyone would want Few. He's old, has no ties to the Midwest, has never won anything outside of a mid major and frequently gets upset in the tourney.

Of course, any "retirement" announcement will guarantee Woody getting the full remaining $ on his contract otherwise he would never agree to it. Mike is dumb but not that dumb.

Thankfully that won’t happen. The NIL era hits and finally he wants a change. Like Dusty, he would be a horrible fit.
