  1. There aren't many hotels within a reasonable walking distance to the stadium, at least for my old a$$. I used Marriott points for the hotel in Fort Lauderdale, and Lot 70 is a 20 minute drive from the hotel. So, we spent some money to do that, but my knees, hips and back will be very thankful.
  2. This will be my first time at hard Rock Stadium and have had the same questions/concerns about getting to and from the stadium. I don't have any experience with Uber Shuttle, or HRS for that matter, but figured that with the expected price surge and potential wait times after the game for a regular Uber, that would be a no go. We are staying in Fort Lauderdale and found a shuttle service to the game that dropped off at 199th and the Florida Turnpike for $65 per person, we would then need to take the Uber Shuttle back to Fort Lauderdale for $25 per person. There are 4 of us, so it was a better/cheaper option to do the park and ride with HRS Shuttle. We found a pass for Lot 70 on StubHub for $175.
  3. Is it possible that Tucker is waiting to see what players are brought in to know what talent he will be playing with, and/or how much competition for minutes there will be?
  4. Sorry, I was feeling left out of the meme game
  5. Well, if Woodson's work ethic is any indication of the amount of work required to coach an NBA team, this couldn't be further from the truth.
  6. Scott Dolson...aka...Slim Shady
  7. If I were Dolson I would tell Woody I'm speaking first and preemptively contradict anything he might say, and then congratulate him on his basketball career and wish him a happy retirement
  8. Just an FYI - 2pm is in the afternoon... Just giving you a hard time, interested to hear what find out.
  9. No, that was many years ago. But is was meant as a joke, I just don't post enough for you guys to understand my sense of humor. Next time I'll remember the sarcasm hashtag. Just tire of reading all the bickering, so I threw some names out for people to complain about.
  10. Here's an out of left field option: Suppose Dolson believes the whole concept he set up when Woodson came is a winning formula, Woody just couldn't deal with knowledgeable coaches telling him what to do. So he's going to try again by bringing in Keith Smart has head coach, with Mike Lewis and Pat Knight as associate head coaches to help him navigate the college game; and the cherry on top is my favorite Vegas concierge, Dean Garrett to coach the big men.
  11. I was at the game last night, close to the floor and the guys behind were a little lubed up and getting on the refs most of the second half, officiating wasn't the best in their defense. Any way, at some point Anderson was right in front of us with his back to us and one guy made a comment referring to Anderson as Valentine, and Anderson put both index fingers to his temples and just shook his head, never turned around. I found it pretty hilarious.
  12. Sorry if this was discussed earlier, but honest question about UM and having Underwood practice and be on the sideline for today's game. I realize he is an early enrollee, but if he is on scholarship, was UM not at the 85 limit this year? If so, how is he allowed to practice and be on the sideline for the game?
  13. Just got home from the game, Woody was introduced after the starting line up and received pretty good applause considering there couldn't have been more than about 7,000 in attendance. But students are on break, cheers will turn to boos when they return. This team is very hard to watch, little to no scheme, organization, or movement on offense, no urgency or intensity on defense. Chattanooga had no business being in this game, and yet, with 2 minutes to go they could very easily have won if they hit the open threes they were getting.
  14. That would be when the Big Ten decides it's better for O$U if we have 2 losses also, so the refs figure out a way to eject our whole team and we have to forfeit
  15. I was at the Bowls For Kids Sake fundraiser for Big Brothers/Big Sisters this afternoon, and Malik was there (I assume as part of Hoosiers for Good or Hoosiers Connect). He was very gracious with the fundraiser participants, taking pictures with everyone who asked, taking time to talk, and even bowling with a few teams. Just a very likable young man and great ambassador for the university and basketball program. Most importantly though, he looked to be in GREAT shape, arms looked more defined/muscular and I'd say his body fat is down too. I even caught him doing some calf exercises on the step down to the bowling lanes.
  16. I voted no, and in my opinion anyone voting yes is not a "true fan" of Indiana basketball. Voting no to what was asked isn't the same as saying he should be fired. Not being happy with him as a coach acknowledges the fiasco that this past season was, and possibly some of the negative trends many posters have said they have observed over the past 3 years. That's not saying things can't get better without a change. Personally, I'm not optimistic about the current coaching situation, but I don't get to make the decision about who is the coach.
  17. Then call out the rumor and state it is false. The statements made last night went beyond this, and from my perspective will only serve to divide the fan base and make many fans think twice about supporting the program. I will qualify the last part by saying I am a lifelong IU fan, and will continue to support the basketball program through good and bad. Just like I have the football team and all other sports. Doesn't mean I like the results or direction, but IU is my school, and these are my teams.
  18. If Leal and Galloway are playing next year, why did they give speeches after the game. It's supposed to be an opportunity to say goodbye not that you'll be coming back.
  19. Funderburke transferred to O$U, I believe at the time the B1G had a rule that transfers within conference had to sit a year
  20. If we win Sunday we'll get the NCAA automatic ... oh wait, you meant this Sunday. My bad, started to get my hopes up...lol
  21. Most of those that I talk with are ready to move on, but a few are still firmly in MW's corner. My statement was in response to Chris talking about a new staff and GM and building through the portal every year. I don't think that will produce a winning program, but more importantly, won't be agreeable to a big chunk of the fan base. I think such a move will be the end of IU Basketball as we know it.
  22. It became necessary to destroy the village in order to save it
  23. Unfortunately, the Irish Lion has been closed over winter break for the past several years. Still lots of other good options around the square and on Kirkwood.
