  1. YES! I'm ready for the meltdown!
  2. I saw one on FB that made me laugh. It had SLU, of course, but also Duke, Tennessee, Illinois, and IU. Also, to your post, "a historic season" could include historically bad and being one of the first teams to miss the B1GT.
  3. They're #1! At not being the actual #1.
  4. I guess Liam doesn't count to Tyme since he isn't a transfer, just a decommitment. The two blowout losses in the first weekend of the NCAA with TJD on the team, one of those with JHS also don't count somehow.
  5. His political maneuvering is even worse than his basketball Xs and Os. Shows a pretty huge ego, too, and definitely not very aware, as you say, to think that people would fight so hard to keep him that the AD would resign.
  6. I'm aware of that. My post was if he decided to not go to Arkansas, so I'm not sure of what your point is. Maybe you should read the post you responded to again.
  7. There is no buyout on his side if he decides to leave.
  8. My understanding is that if he talked to Arkansas without letting UK know, then he is in breach of contract and could be fired without them having to pay the buyout. But I'm not a lawyer so I could be wrong there.
  9. He gets paid. There are workarounds.
  10. On this year's swimming and diving team IU had Brendan Burns and Carson Tyler, each with 3 individual national championships.
  11. I'm pretty sure the post you're responding to was tongue in cheek and in response to another poster repeatedly defending Woodson not working by saying it's dead week.
  12. Someone needs to let them know that winning brings in more money than losing does.
  13. This game and the loss last year really showed that Purdue is Edey and a bunch of other guys. Take the others out and they won't win. To Purdue and Edey in particular:
  14. Klingon has 4 and now Johnson is out. At least they have a lead to work with.
  15. IU looked better last year when Leal played because the team was so poorly put together. He was a better option than the other bench players because the bench players were baaaad. If he gets a lot of PT next season, IU will be in bad shape because they'll be weak on the wing again.
  16. Is he or is he not going to Arkansas?
  17. He didn't get any PT at Kentucky and is now transferring? I'm so shocked.
  18. The heads of both fan bases would explode. That would be fun to watch.
  19. The transfer portal has changed things since then. To fire a coach in June now would be a terrible idea.
  20. Ultimately, ADs do the hiring and firing so they get the credit or blame. Dolson extended Allen. Dolson hired Woodson. Dolson extended Woodson. CC looks like a good hire but still hasn't coached a game at IU. Dolson has made more mistakes than good decisions and they've been terrible, costly mistakes. He simply isn't a very good AD.
  21. So Arkansas went after Tang (good coach), Beard (POS human but a good coach), then had backups of Jans (better than .700 career winning percentage and has been ok the first couple of years at Miss State) and Walker (this is a questionable choice) but then ends up with a HOF coach in Calipari. Overall, seems like he was going after winners. Compare that to Dolson: went after Stevens who was a pipedream and then had no backup plans so ended up with Woodson. If you're going to hire an old coach, I'd take Calipari over Woodson every day of the week and twice on Sunday. I don't really care for him or his system very much, but he doesn't act like an arrogant p**ck like Woodson and at least he's not stuck trying to force '90s basketball to work.
  22. We've seen that Hunter Yurachek at Arkansas cares about their basketball team. We've seen that Dolson does not care about IU's. Time to find an AD who cares.
