  1. I basically don't like this. HH / Midnight Madness is tradition, it's been in the Hall like forever, and it's an entire Bloomington/community event. AND, it's a practice scrimmage - usually - when we get to see the team play even though it's a short practice scrimmage thing. That's always fun and a chance to see what the guys look like on the floor. It might be cool to have a big event on Kirkwood, but imo it shouldn't replace HH. but change is change. oh well edit/side note - unless I missed it on quick review, the article doesn't actually say it replaces HH. It says the teams are kicking off the season with this new event. Are we sure it replaces HH?
  2. That's a really nice write up. Attractive prospect for sure.
  3. Come on down Latrell, sign the commitment letter!
  4. That was my thought as well. Makes for more 3-point shooters to defend in practices so they're working perimeter D as well as of the O.
  5. Can we land this girl, so the next update isn’t yet another commitment to another school?
  6. Which would be perfect for DeVries' system. Not holding my breath, but he'd be a great addition
  7. What’s the peekaboo hospital? the ICU
  8. I’m here in Texas, I know how UT handles things, not that this convo matters
  9. It’s a football school (and baseball) bf basketball, he wasn’t getting the kind of support he needed. He ended up better off, but Texas gave up on a very good coach in him
  10. Always thought UT (Texas) was silly to fire him, had them in the tourney every year, brought in Durant….
  11. More - recent stuff from Fountaines DC - lively stuff, this is a talented fun band, whole album's a good listen
  12. In all seriousness Ticketmaster needs to get slammed in a big suit (and I would love to be counsel). The scamming and allowance of bulk bot purchasing of concert tickets, absurd pricing etc and speculative listings is ridiculous. Glad you got the tickrys, but Ticketmaster is decidedly on my legal hit list
  13. It was cloth too. I'll have to check w/mom to see if she saved it
  14. Personally, I just have no problem being petty Hey, I'm a lawyer :)
  15. that's an interesting chart for sure, I'd like to see some of the numbers it's based on -- Klay shot as many 3's as Reggie (18 years in the League)? Reggie was the most prolific 3-point shooter in NBA history at the time he retired. Allen passed him later. Klay? Edit - here are there respective stats according to Basketball Reference, surprising me: Klay over 12 years 3PA 6,562 for .411 % Reggie over 18 seasons 6,486 for .395% - so Klay outshot Reggie, But what this chart and PARTICULARLY with Curry doesn't factor is how the rules and refereeing of perimeter shooting changed significantly from the 90's to current day, to deliberately increase scoring because, supposedly, that attracts more eyes. Guys like Reggie, Bird, etc. dealt with significantly more aggressive perimeter D. Not to sound like a certain Scott on the board, but in all seriousness, as good as Curry is his numbers would be different in the 90s when guys would be all over him. MJ guarded Regg, imagine MJ guarding Curry
  16. So, later tonight then...
  17. Not old enough. I know the history but never saw him play. But for IT regardless, it was all skill, a 'little' guard who could destroy anyone. That's part of the equation for me.
  18. Agree -- I've seen a lot of great players at IU, Cal, Henderson, May et al, but Isaiah was just incredible -- and he went on to be one of the best point guards to have played in the NBA. Some of those guys are close in my mind, but IT? What an amazing guard.
  19. 58 now. I remember him as a player, but not in the same class as I remember guys like May, or I Thomas, etc. He was a really good college player, but not like those guys to me.
  20. And unlike with RMK, in my mind that might actually be a good thing. His level of importance to IU is greatly inflated in his own mind.
  21. But it felt like Groundhog’s Day
  22. But this is actually real...
