  1. No idea if it's been common or not, but I do know certain coaches historically would try to get their players a game in their home state during their 4 year career. Dean Smith was one. I went to watch Eric Montross play at Butler b/c of it.
  2. One made the championship game and was close to winning it (regardless of where his players came from) and the other has his hand-picked team of highly ranked players and is floundering with them, and made it as far as the 2nd round (regardless of where his players came from). The last one didn't even play in the NCAAs. MD is the tallest midget for me.
  3. Going by total % chance of winning, we'd end up with the same results as the game by game predictions which isn't always the case. They add up to 10.28 wins. I get/agree with your pessimism though since I feel it is unlikely we'd win one out of four of the games where we have around 25%-35% projected chance to win. If that's the case, we have to win all of the just above 50% games (MD, MI, PU) or win a "replacement" game to cover for it. It could get real ugly considering our best win is vs. #63 SC at home, so beating MD, MI, PU, PSU, OSU all ranked better (some considerably) is far from a given. That would be even one game worse than your 5-15, and counts on us winning at Wash (we haven't shown much on the road to inspire confidence).
  4. Torvik Teamcast has same 18-13 projection and us missing the tournament as the 4th team out (without the B1G tourney sim). Needed to win 2 games in the B1G tourney to be one of the last 4 in.

  16. Actually JHS decommitted from Pitt (granted early) so it wasn't 100% a traditional recruitment. He committed 3 months after we offered, so it was still a relatively short recruitment. It did at least include a fall committment instead of the late spring for Reneau, Mgbako, and Tucker.
