Classic Turdue loser little bro mentality. Their fans at Mackey whine after every call that doesn't go their way.

General Coach Candidate News

Any chance with Tommy Lloyd? Same age as Oats and teams have had better defensive ratings. Below is the top 15 coaches from the start of the 2021-2022 season until now according to torvik. -

It was $20 for a year when I did it a few years ago. Not sure what it is now or if he provides a free trial. -

He's probably Gabe Cupps at IU under Woodson. Coach Cig type of player. It isn't about the stars its about the production. I went to see him play once (live in Westfield) before he committed and I wanted IU to offer him. He didn't even have a great game, but I could tell (even with my amateur level eye) he's the type of player that would help our program. His rebounding and command of the floor stood out to me. -

Wild to give up a game losing 3 when all 5 defenders are above the FT line extended (even leaving Queen wide open underneath) -

I know who made the death threat to Woodson. It was Ya when they had the fight. Or was that the other way around? -

I take this as there is a reason Dolson is waiting, not Dolson is waiting for a reason to fire him. -
Correct. Teamcast has us winning 3 more games in the regular season to be 8-12 in the B1G and then requiring the 3 games in the B1G tourney to be the last of the last 4 in (4th).

Team Cast has us needing to win 3 games in the B1G tourney to get in now.

If we end up with May, then it actually seems better that we got to see him succeed one year at UM/B1G so he either continues to succeed at IU or if he doesn't then we know the rumors/stories about something being wrong with IU admin/basketball that have been floating around since the Crean days actually have some merit. If we got him last year, sure we wouldn't have had to endure this mess another year, but if he didn't succeed here, we would have just looked at him as another Archie Miller type of coach that couldn't make the jump. -

Who was the old(er) guy in the recruitment video/pics w/ him? -
I thought about this w/ CCC as well. Won't know until after next season for both of them, but in CCC's case he has done it at enough stops that I'm less concerned.

No idea if it's been common or not, but I do know certain coaches historically would try to get their players a game in their home state during their 4 year career. Dean Smith was one. I went to watch Eric Montross play at Butler b/c of it. -

One made the championship game and was close to winning it (regardless of where his players came from) and the other has his hand-picked team of highly ranked players and is floundering with them, and made it as far as the 2nd round (regardless of where his players came from). The last one didn't even play in the NCAAs. MD is the tallest midget for me. -

Going by total % chance of winning, we'd end up with the same results as the game by game predictions which isn't always the case. They add up to 10.28 wins. I get/agree with your pessimism though since I feel it is unlikely we'd win one out of four of the games where we have around 25%-35% projected chance to win. If that's the case, we have to win all of the just above 50% games (MD, MI, PU) or win a "replacement" game to cover for it. It could get real ugly considering our best win is vs. #63 SC at home, so beating MD, MI, PU, PSU, OSU all ranked better (some considerably) is far from a given. That would be even one game worse than your 5-15, and counts on us winning at Wash (we haven't shown much on the road to inspire confidence).
