I believe the NBA was waiting on all 30 teams to get a G-League team. I think they want a legitimate farm system. And it’s a good idea. Personally I’d love to see there be a type of D-2(G-League) and a D-3 under the G-League. Maybe D-3 players get paid in the 50-75K range and have the ability to work up. Kinda like in baseball. Maybe they should learn to think things through, look through possibilities of things that could happen, pros and cons, is going undrafted really worth leaving? Is the 2nd round worth leaving early for when I’ll go in the 2nd round any year? Maybe I could come back and go from undrafted to 2nd round. How much does it cost to live here or there. How much does an agent cost. How good will my team be if I return? Well this team says they are i interested in me but what’s other 20 guys are they interested in? I thought that too... but it’s going to be tough for Archie to throw around minutes. With Lander, Phinisee, Durham, Franklin and I think Leal is going to push for good minutes. Is there is a big difference between going from college basketball to the NBA and trying to go pro from college into hockey, football or baseball. Basketball is incredibly hard to go pro in. It would be in Galloways best interest to redshirt. Considering he plays the 2-3 spot and we have Durham, Franklin, Leal and even Lander ahead of him at the 2 and Smith, Hunter and probably Geronimo Agra’s of him at the 3. Al can still be a Top 2-3 of our guards while playing less minutes. We just have 5 guards that are likely to get playing time. And Yogi was a pretty freshman. He just happened to play on that super good 12-13 team. But his assist total that season was 147. Which is 3rd over the past 10 seasons. His 13-14 assists numbers were 125 which is 4th. And since 2000 even that 125 mark was only passed by Coverdale in 02-03(152 assists as a SR), Coverdale in 01-02(178 assists as a JR) and Coverdale in 00-01(163 assists as a SO). Lander and Al are the most likely to be our best two. Phinisee just isn’t that good and will play behind Lander. And things also depend on if Smith is playing more time at the 4 than the 3 and how much time Hunter is playing. Because that’ll open room for Al to play some at the 3. But Leal is going to be good. He will be better as a freshman than Franklin was and could be better than a sophomore Franklin. He could also get some time at the 3 as well as he’s a little bit bigger than Durham.
