You're still talking about two freshmen. Who will improve, especially under Painter. Funny thing is, Indiana fans would be claiming those two as the best backcourt in the nation next year if they wore IU jerseys and talking about how 32.6% from 3 is a great building block. -

I'm not sure what world you're living in where 33% on 5 attempts is "horrible." That's pretty good. And only a freshman that'll be back next year(and probably 2 after that). Unfortunately, Painter has them pretty well set in the backcourt for the next 3 years. Right now, it's still a question mark as to what our backcourt even looks like next season. -

I think Purdue still has a ton of talent, even without Edey. Smith, Loyer, Morton, Gillis and Furst is a good starting 5. Smith and Loyer obviously got a ton of experience this year and Loyer is going to end up being a good scorer I think. Furst will be interesting to see. Obviously has played a very defined role his first 2 years, I think he has the talent to be a 15ppg, 8rpg type guy and Loyer can definitely get 15ppg. The offense will obviously be way different as well without Edey sitting in the paint, since Furst will actually step out and shoot. TKR I don't know... He might be their Jerome Hunter... Like Indiana Jerome Hunter. Not Xavier Jerome Hunter. -
One thing that has definitely confused me... The belief from fans that we need 6-8 dudes on the wing everywhere... When has Indiana ever had that? Pretty sure our last 3 B1G title teams had like 6-4/6-5 dudes at the 3 and 6-6/6-7 dudes at the 4 other than Watford in 2013.

Bottom of the league will be interesting. The top will be very good likely. Michigan State will be pretty darned good again. Purdue, with or without Edey will be a Top 20 team nationally. Illinois could be really good. Wisconsin will probably be pretty good. Iowa will be middle of the pack I'd assume. Likely we are trying to compete with the likes of Wisconsin, Iowa, Penn State, Michigan etc in the very middle of the pack. -

I love Reneau, Gunn and Banks as prospects. Especially Gunn and Banks. Both seem to have confidence and the length and athleticism we need on the wings. -
Obviously a super tough ending for both squads. For the women's, you get that 1 seed, you roll through the regular season and just have an off night at the wrong time. Positive: Basically the entire roster is coming back outside of Berger. We could honestly be better as CMM and Garzon take the next steps in development and Holmes becomes even more of a beast. I think they are definitely a Top 15 team entering next season. As for the men, still a tough one but man... That was the entire season in a nutshell wasn't it? Positives: Looking forward, we might be an NIT/low seeded NCAAT team next year but in a way will be refreshing to see new faces leading the program in the post-TJD era. I think next season is when the new culture and new foundation are truly built. How will the team look? No clue but I think they could be really fun to watch. This off season will no doubt be fun to monitor as the transfer portal unfolds and see who we go after and what kind of players those are. We may only have 3 more years of Woodson, but these next 2 I think are the most important. And even without getting any big time recruits for 2023, a guy like Cupps is the player we hate playing against if he goes to MSU or OSU. But I think expectations should be that of "learning and growth" for next season. Lot to look forward to for both programs, even if it is 2 years down the road for the men's, so don't be down on the ending of this season too much.

I'd love a style of play that mimics those Louisville teams under Pitino. In your face defense, getting out in transition, getting to the bucket, spacing out... But I guess that part of having a HOF coach?

Non-IU NCAA TOURNAMENT GAMES

Not watching yet but sounds like we are much slower than them. Better get it together or it'll be Saint Mary's 2.0 like I said. -
