This is gonna be a tough test coming up with 4 games in 7 days. Tonight at Neb is no walk in the park. They’re a team that beat Michigan by 20 back in December and we only beat them by 7 at home more recently. Northwestern Thursday who just beat Mich should be a W at home but can’t look forward to Iowa. Then playing Iowa twice in three days home-away is a tough way to end the week. For a team without much depth there’s gonna be some tired legs next week. We have the talent to go 3-1 I think, but 2-2 might be more realistic especially if Mack doesn’t come back for either Iowa game which seems unlikely.

He would be, if he were on a team with guys to kick it out to that could make an open three. He beats his man consistently and gets in the lane. But unfortunately with this team he had to try and finish because there’s nobody to kick out to that can shoot.

Good win. Big third quarter and a heck of a game by Grace. Hopefully Mack will be back for the Iowa home/home. Shouldn’t need her until then.

Good to see Ali have a good shooting game. She’s been out of sync with her shot recently. We’re gonna need to playing her best.

So, stay with me on this, and yeah I’m probably gonna get roasted. But I personally am of the opinion that you don’t punish your team for some individual mistakes. You bench five guys in a winnable game when you don’t have many winnable games left. Unless it was serious and police were involved or something, couldn’t you run their butts at practice? Maybe stagger the suspensions over two games? To me, I can see where basically forefitting a game that could impact your programs chances at a tourney birth, etc. might be unfair to the team. It better win him some parents on the recruiting trail or something, because not making the tourney AGAIN, could be deflating to the program, like it or not.

With NIL he would probably make less money overseas too.

This looks and feels like watching a high school game in so many ways right now.

We could really only last so long without a post defender. All things considered, it’s admirable we’re only getting beat by a dozen on the road at a top 10 team without our best player.

Much the same as what I’ve been told. The procedure probably could have been avoided altogether and she could have rested and come back. But they decided rather than take the chance it got worse as the season got closer to the tournament to go ahead and scope it now, clean it up, and make sure Mack is running on all cylinders for the tourney pushes. I think they’ll be very cautious easing her back in with a schedule intended to have her playing her best basketball when it matters. Even if that means possibly not winning a conference crown. This team’s goals are squarely on the big dance with this group of talent having this small window remaining together to do something special. In regards to tonight’s game. If Cardano-Hilary and Berger can get hot outside, we might keep it close and have a shot in the fourth. If we dig ourselves a whole and Naz gets going she might hang 30 on us and this one gets away quick.

Miller got the defender to leave his feet on the pump fake. He needs to realize at that point you just throw you body into him and get fouled shorting the three.

Pray Phin is okay, but like others I didn’t like the look of it. Maybe he can be our Brad Davison and medical redshirt this year and bring that confidence back for two more years and be around when he’s 25. All seriousness, hope it’s just a stinger of some sort.

So a 7-0 run once Trey and Rob replaced Miller and Parker Stewart. If we start with thy lineup, maybe we’re down 1 with 17 mins to play instead of down 9 with 14 to play? What am I missing?

Agree, we actually have a favorable schedule remaining. I hadn’t been paying attention, but MSU is crazy overrated. They’re 5-1 in conference: Wins - Minny (2), Neb, NW, PSU. Loss - NW. talk about a soft start.
