  1. We’re not bad, but we’re not as good as we were predicted to be or hoped we would be based on the momentum of the last two years. But if Cindy holds and Oregon doesn’t come back in the second half, and we don’t pull an upset in happy valley tonight - it’s possible (likely?? With how OK has barely scraped by WV/Neb and is struggling today against K-State) we played three of our first five games against teams in the top 5. Doubt there’s another school who can say that, so that would qualify as brutal. Still, if your aspirations are to be a top 10-20 team like IU’s were/are, you have to win at least one of those games. They’ve underperformed. But the schedule didn’t help.
  2. Will he be eligible for another year next year since he played less than 4 games? Don’t know how that works with the extra year of eligibility for COVID.
  3. Definitely looks to be an example of a guy who probably cost himself some money not going into the draft last year. He had some hype riding a couple huge games in a weird season. He keeps this up and he’s gonna be heading to the CFL. Speaking of those decisions. How did that work out for Whop? Did he make a roster?
  4. Yep. I edited it. Thinking faster than I could type. Womack had our defense in all sorts of different looks and bringing pressure from everywhere. Coach Warren’s defense looks too predictable. Maybe because he came from Georgia and had a lot better talent so he could just rely on His defensive backs to make plays without doing anything exotic. IDK. Big difference this year. And that’s the biggest variable that changed. We should have opened up the pocket book to keep Womack.
  5. Losing Coach Womack was a lot bigger loss than we gave it credit for. Last year our defense put all kinds of pressure on the QB and he had energy on the sidelines similar to CTA. Our defense is vanilla this year, and our talent is better, so that shouldn’t be the case.
  6. Would you text a girl you met at the bar a few weeks ago, if you were in the middle of great conversation over dinner with a woman you think could be your future wife? Analogies aside, the context of the text received is the basis, but respectfully, that’s not getting posted on a message board.
  7. Might be something brewing here worth keeping ears on in the next few weeks. VT visit underwhelming enough that NC sent a text to one of our staff members today during the Va Tech football game. Not to commit. But think that 4-hour drive home from Blacksburg tomorrow could involve some interesting family discussion. Feeling real good right now about this one.
  8. Pretty darn respectable showing of fans in the stadium. Good to see the support. This program deserves it. For an early season game against a lesser opponent this is pretty solid turnout. Helps that it’s a 7:30pm game so students more willing to leave the tailgate. Gotta win games to keep butts in seats. Starts tonight boys.
  9. More likely Sensabaugh after J H-S. Don’t sleep on him because of being a late bloomer. 6-6, 220 lbs, has some Moye in him, which Fife loves. Staff likes him. Wouldn’t be surprised if he popped with a commitment during his visit, which would be week after J H-S.
  10. This will be a good get. Seeing that NBA style offense, even once, was enough. Scoop thriving and getting to the rim played well for us. Easy to see how Woody’s offense will let a young talent showcase his game as a frosh. That’s what kids like J H-S want to see. He’ll look good in the candy stripes.
  11. This will end up being a steal after all is said and done. Good get.
  12. Was Moore the one who responded to Monds’ Twitter post asking who was next after Cooper Jr. commitment? Think it was just an emoji of a glass of water with a straw maybe, and I have no clue what that even means, but thought it was Moore who posted it.
  13. I don’t have any insights into the women’s program other than just being a fan of the team - but it sure seems like an odd situation to have this rare opportunity to transfer and play immediately because of COVID, and a team like the Lady Hoosiers who are locked and loaded to make a run at a Final Four next year, but needing that “missing piece” or stud sixth-man - and yet we haven’t been able to convince any elite talent maybe playing at a second tier program or conference, to come in and make a run with us. ?? I don’t totally understand how this sales pitch isn’t landing. At a minimum it would be nice to use the momentum and exposure to lock up some talent for the next few years when this golden crop of talent will ultimately leave. Moren maybe need to have a sit-down with the football coaching staff to get some advice on how to capitalize on success as a historically middling program.
  14. This roster spot won’t be open very long.
  15. Man. B1G looks to be deeeep. Maryland a #2, Iowa and Mich #3’s.
  16. I haven’t heard anything new, but do know TJD tried to convince Brooks a year ago and it was close to happening but KB’s dad wasn’t on board. TJD and KB are really good friends. Would be shocked if TJD wasn’t in his ear again now. And don’t know that anybody would be forced to leave. There’s a scholly guy whose family would be willing to pay their own way and go off athletic scholarship to get it done. But also think there’s a couple deep bench guy’s who might be looking at their options to increase their playing time with the influx of new talent we’ve brought in.
  17. No, but not sure he would even enter it so much as just announce he’s transferring.
  18. TJD and him are good friends. Trace tried to convince him to join him at IU last year and it was very close to happening.
  19. Yes. He was the first player to announce he was going to transfer when the university fired RMK.
  20. I hope UCONN beats them by 30. They are one-dimensional.
  21. Honestly Moren needs to do her job and be in the refs ear every single time that screen moves and their center puts two forearms into our on-ball guard. It’s ridiculous it’s taken this long, but this game could come down to Moren getting that call for her team down the stretch on a big possession.
  22. Alright. Hard fought quarter. Stripes letting some cheap stuff carry on. Announcers with a clear crush on Ari, even though Mack has 6 fewer points for IU and didn’t need a couple prayer banked threes to do it. Down two. We are the better team. 10 minutes away from a final four. Go take it!
