  1. I don’t think we’ll see a lot of vocal leadership early in his career but his play seems far from passive. My understanding is that he’s had more talent around him in the past and was expected to step up on the offensive end more this year. He’s definitely showing that he can score if he wants to. He also seems to have a track record of winning. I would say the same about the way Anderson is playing this year. He chose to return to his team over LaLumiere and he’s leading them to a great season. Vocal leadership is obviously important, but I think we have some guys coming in that want to be part of a team and expect to win. Players like that will ultimately hold each other accountable.
  2. Hopefully we’ve found our leader!
  3. I think we’ll see both in the starting lineup, but the big things that stick out to me when I watch footage of Hunter are his mechanics and overall comfort level. His form is consistent and you can tell he has a lot of confidence in his shooting ability. He doesn’t seem to hesitate regardless of his position on the floor or the shot he’s taking. Spot up three, turn around jumper from mid-range, catch and shoot... they all look the same. I also like what I’ve seen with regards to his body control. I’ve yet to see a clip of him doing something reckless, which is rare on highlight tapes. I almost always see a clip of a player doing something reckless and simply getting lucky on the finish. Hunter seems to know and play to his abilities. That being said, the sample size has been small and I’m sure there are some areas he’ll need to clean up. I just think he’ll aclimate faster than Anderson. Hopefully he’ll be able to hone his defense guarding Langford in practice...
  4. Well, Phinisee is averaging 30 a game this season so he can put up some points. He may be a better shooter than what we think. Hunter is kind of a wild card as I haven’t seen much footage of him but I just think Anderson is going to need some time to adjust to the speed of the college game. Smith has shown some ability to shoot and he’ll have another summer of practice in. I’m sure Morgan will put in the reps as he’ll be expected to score from the outside at the next level if he wants to get there. Davis is the only one that I don’t think we’ll see much improvement from in terms of shooting but I’m just hoping he puts on some muscle and starts takes care of business under the basket.
  5. I’d say Hunter beats out Anderson for the starting role so I’m gonna go with Greene (if he stays) and Phinisee if not. But I can see Phinisee taking the job if Greene doesn’t clean it up in a hurry. Hunter at the 2 if we don’t get Romeo, Smith at the 3, Morgan at the 4 (I think he stays), and Davis at the 5.
  6. Lol Minnesota may be dumber than we are
  7. Didn’t see him. What’s he doing?
  8. Yeah, but it’s been a healthy dose of the bench nonetheless
  9. Anyone notice that one of our guards has been missing this half...? And I don’t think it’s an injury
  10. I think our new strategy will just have to be “make it ugly and beat them with experience”
  11. Critical would be if we did it in a close game with 3 or 4 to go
  12. Bingo. We don’t have the personnel for a solid lineup 100% of the time. This is going to happen a couple times a game and it was the right time to get it out of the way.
  13. Definitely was, but I’m not gonna complain too much with some of the calls we’ve gotten.
  14. Yeah lol, clearly our college coach should put a greater emphasis on layup lines and making sure our players are familiar with things like the 10 second rule. Because, ya know, these guys haven’t been playing ball for 15 years or anything
  15. Sorry, but I doubt there’s a coach in the country that’ll replace the starting 5 with walk-ons in a two point game. The effort isn’t what we expect but Miller isn’t going to throw a winnable conference game to make a point
  16. Who exactly are people thinking we should put in for a better chance to win? Hartman and Davis are out. Moore isn’t anywhere near ready. Priller is Priller. McSwain is a football player. Durham can’t do much other than hustle. That’s half our scholarship players...
  17. People blaming Archie like our players weren’t this stupid/careless last year too lmao
  18. Our players are just duuuuuumb
  19. Just curious, anyone know which word Dakich was talking about that gets coaches ejected?
  20. Because there’s only one scholarship player from Indiana on this team
  21. Well we’ve felt it twice this year
  22. This has been an absolute travesty on both ends of the floor
  23. Do these guys miss any 3s!? Good lord
  24. You’d think they would’ve been so embarrassed after last year that there’d be no way it could happen twice buuuuut no
  25. I thought that was what I heard lol
