Franklin would be a great 4 year guy to bring consistency and a nice backup/replacement piece to Phinisee. Would think that players like having their name on the back of their jerseys for some sort of individual recognition and pride. This can't be a good selling point for recruits. From the quotes from Allen it seemed like he would be QB3. "Doesn't have the passing zip that Penix possesses or the electric running ability of Dawkins"....but says he's "trusted." Its like he wants to play it safe and "play not to lose." The Chuck Pagano way....not a fan at all and like Chris007 said, we're not gonna beat the big boys playing him. From what I've heard is that TJD would love to play with Stewart. With Brooks and TJD as close as they are and if they're serious about playing together I feel like Brooks could easily be in Stewart's ear and be our best recruiter for him. He definitely gets labeled as "soft" only because he has a calm demeanor about him and isn't pounding his chest after every basket or talking trash. He lets his game do the talking. As someone who's seen him play in person a few times he definitely doesn't shy away from contact and I don't think there should be any concern that he's not B1G ready or going to get bodied by others. I think we're gonna see Bouknight jump up in the next rankings. I won't be surprised if he's top 40-50 in the final rankings. I think we need to scoop him up soon. This kid is a big time baller... I think Durham is going to get lost in the mix this year. I will be surprised if Phinisee isn't starting by B1G season as he's a throwback PG who is looking to direct the team and not a score first PG like Green. Unless Green has made major strides and can become more consistent and limit the mental lapses, I don't think he can hold the starting spot down. We aren't gonna need his scoring this year and will be better served with a PG who is looking to get others involved and create open looks like Rob can. Also I think Hunter would be the first off the bench...I think many people are forgetting he's a top 50 recruit and has A LOT of potential and will be battling Smith for a starting spot from the get go. I think we've gotten used to the low expectations from Creans recruiting classes coming in their first years and are still holding onto low expectations but I don't think that'll be the case...Archie's first ever group is much more talented/athletic than what we're used to and will have them ready to go from the start. Teams have open gyms throughout the year and commits/signees play in them all the time as well as invited recruits. This is nothing new and it's not mandatory. Our recruits are all within driving distance outside of Forrester (who wasn't there). This is just info I thought I'd share from somebody close to a recruit. I got the info about Keion and TJD from him as well regarding them having a minor fallout and TJD looking at possibly joining another AAU program this summer since Keions dad is making sure Keion gets his shots up and keeps garnering attention. I also heard that Center Grove will be getting Ethan Watts next year, who also plays on Indy Heat with TJD and Brooks.
