Anybody worried about the USI exhibition game?? I know it's just that, an exhibition game, but I believe they are a senior led team with A LOT of Indiana kids and an Indiana All-Star in Chance Coyle from Bloomington who will probably end up lighting us up as most Indiana kids do. I think that'll be tougher than our first game against Chicago State (IUPUI beat them by 38 in a closed scrimmage). I'm going to temper my expectations out the gate. I think this team may take a few weeks to really gel together but by season's end, we'll be playing our best basketball and will be lightyears better than when we started the season. Ramsey isn't getting it done and it's time for a change to get some life into this team. Anybody who knows football can visibly see Penix has a better arm, better vision, and quicker release. Our Rec have to come back to the ball or stop to catch it bc Ramsey has a weak arm and his release is so slow and gives DBs chance to read all his passes. Penix has had solid drives and the only ones that stalled were on bogus holding calls and a no-call DPI. Penix spreads the field out bc of the deep threat and it allows our RBs more room to run since the box isn't crowded. Don't know how you could say Ramsey is better unless your his dad. Thanks for sharing 8bucks. I think many people are undervaluing Fitzner but I think he is going to have a BIG impact on this team. He's gonna get A LOT of shots off the pick and pop and it's gonna be tough for other bigs to guard him outside. His shooting is gonna force bigs to the outside and going to open up the lane for Romeo and other guards to get the rim with ease. People questioned me when I said I think Rob should start instead of Green bc people weren't impressed with him at the HH Hysteria lol. Rob is an old school under control PG who looks for others first and won't make many boneheaded mistakes like we've seen with Green. This team doesn't need a "playmaker" at point bc we actually have shooters this year and we just need someone to make smart decisions with the ball like Rob. I watched him a lot in HS and he is simply a poor man's Yogi without the crazy quickness. He can score/shoot if he needs to but he knows his role is to get others the ball and make the right play...something Green had trouble with last year. My problem with Green is that he is all about the high risk-reward plays...last year he almost had to bc our outside shot was so ineffective but that shouldn't be the case this year with Fitz and Romeo. Hope Green proves me wrong and has improved a ton for the sake of the team but I'm not getting my hopes up...I strongly believe Rob will be our starting PG and get a majority of the minutes running the show come B1G play.
