I wouldn’t be too concerned about next years recruiting class. We’ll hit the portal hard. FYI - I saw some stat (maybe ppg) where the older transfer players are making up much more production than true freshman.

These just aren’t 3 losses. What’s concerning is we’ve had our ***** kicked in these games. That doesn’t happen to really good teams. We have a long way to go to close the gap.

What could’ve been? We’ll never truly know. Though I suspect a couple national titles and several Final Fours…no reason to think otherwise. He also had really high character kids coming in. Matt Roth, Elston, Pritchard and Devin Ebanks.

Why do you think that is? These aren’t kids anymore. Race has been with the team for the better part of a decade now and Trayce, 4 years. I get why people sometimes are frustrated with X…but he’s the only one that ever shows emotion….it’s actually refreshing because you know he cares.

Probably not as far as we think. Sampson had us as title contenders in year 2 before everything went south and quite frankly probably would’ve had a title or two if we stuck to our guns like every other school did with infractions far worse. Then again he was hired 4 years after we made our last final four. It’s been 21 years now so it may be too late. I hope not. Hopefully we learn from this game and tear off a nice winning streak.

All too familiar from what we’ve seen the last 20 years. This team looks no different. Hope X is ok.

Tomorrow is great opportunity. A win like this would separate this year's team from past IU teams that could win against great teams at home but never away. So far we're 1-2 away from AH this year. A win @ Kansas would prove that we are very real players in college bball this year while simultaneously telling the doubters to "shove it." As Mike Woodson said, "to be the best you need to beat the best."

Agreed. Not saying that. But he’s not getting anywhere near 25 min. I don’t think he’s a power 5 conference player. He’s clueless on the court and this is his 3rd year with the program.

Geronimo is not a Power 5 conference player. Great athleticism but completely lost on the court. Reminds me of Hanner Parea.

It’s facts. Outside a couple good games against lesser competition - Bates has been a disappointment.

This is a big game and we would love to have JHS. Much like with TJD and UNC…I think adrenaline overtakes.

Don’t think unc was going to maintain their #1 ranking even if they won this tourney. Their play has been mediocre so far. I think we should be ranked ahead of unc come Monday.

JHS will start. He should make a much bigger impact than what Bates did his freshman year. With that said…I’m optimistic Bates will have a big season his sophomore year.

Brooks will be interesting. I’m sure there’s going to be a lot of smoke between him and us.

Dennis is about to release a top 5 according to twitter…seems like this is going to take longer than originally thought.
