  1. Both sons are UF grads. Todd Golden has really turned that program around. It was funny to watch them spank UGA by 30 points after they inexplicably "stole" Mike White away a few years back.
  2. I speak of? You mean every name that YOU mention? And two things 1) I didn't use the term White Whale first just in response. 2)If you don't understand, IU's only White Whale is Brad Stevens. The term refers to an objective/person that is obsessively pursued but unlikely to catch. Hope this helps.
  3. Was Myles Rice Jimmy Chitwood in this scenario?
  4. Pearl by all accounts was champing at the bit to get the job last offseason and a guy like Drew has in state ties and knows the difference between becoming a coach locals like until they don't and becoming a legend. The state of Texas doesn't revere coaches of their third most popular sport as legend. Oh and where did I say IU could just pick any coach in the country and automatically get them? Those three are just about as likely to turn down UNC should they come calling. Thanks for making an absurd argument. The only point I was making is that IU has almost everything to offer a prospective coach and that recent lack of success as a deterrent was a ridiculous point. I guess you weren't able to follow that. I will try to consider your reading comprehension level next time
  5. That is nonsense. Scott Dolson: So Coach White Whale, what do you think? Coach White Whale: Well Scott, everything looks outstanding, you all have a grade A facility, the Hall is always packed, fans everywhere I turn, heck they even tracked my planes arrival and greeted me at the airport, I would have everything I could ever dream of to succeed in terms of recruiting and NIL money, and the salary is beyond generous. But I think I will have to pass. Scott Dolson: Wait, what? Coach White Whale: Despite being an historic program, have you seen your recent history? Scott Dolson: I have that's why we are looking for a new coach. Coach White Whale: Yeah but only 3 sweet 16 appearances in the last dozen years and no conference championship in 8 seasons...eeeewwwww!
  6. Definitely looks like a predator.
  7. Dude hooked up with a coed 10 years younger than him while coaching at Bama. Kinda gives me the willies.
  8. Is losing a race? IU fans are huge loserphobes.
  9. year 4 of CMW is going to be fire!!
  10. Not a twitter or Instagram guy so I can't comment expertly on etiquette but I would guess she has posted positives marks regarding her fathers coaching and, if so, I would say she is open to polite requests from those that disagree with her. Now if she does not actively post about her fathers performance that would be different and weird.
  11. Well to be fair, there was no "pretty" proceeding the please, so it should be reported to IUPD as a hate crime
  12. Remember when Purdue was the little step brother? Now we are uncle Rico talking about the glory days living in a van selling fake Tupperware or the guy sitting at a bar with Springsteen in Glory Days.
  13. At the very least we could expect a visitor to come tell us all about the process.
  14. Bad coach gets hate mail. Egotistical entitled bad coach gets even more hate mail. The story at 10.
  15. Wow! Even she wants CMW fired?
  16. Are you aware of any wife/agents being talked to?
  17. Yeah, but who would do that? CMW's ego made certain his staff was filled with yes men and inexperienced coaches. Fire Moe and you have to promote Larry or Curly, Shemp and Joe have no interest in the job.
  18. Deleted tweet by tyme: End of game, Mike Woodson could be seen using the traditional large circular motion with an arm to signal Rice to call time out. These youth today, SMH.
  19. Mike Woodson doesn't learn the rules, the rules learn Mike Woodson
  20. Good points....just annoyed and frustrated that I have gray hair. It's happening younger and younger for IU basketball fans. There is a new product that helps, it's called Just For IU Fans, it only comes in one color though, Mike Woodson Jet Black
  21. Do you think they aren't seeking that guy as we speak? Whatever can be done prior to seasons end is being done.
  22. I can understand your points, and they are all valid. However, I feel that by not moving on from him, every time he shows mediocrity and/or poor performance, and nothing about his future is addressed, it is communicating that it is acceptable. This is what I feel continues to damage the brand. When IU hires the next coach, it will be interesting if high expectations are talked about in the press conference....because right now, those high expectations are not being showing in the lack of communication with how this will end. I think they need to announce that he will be done at seasons end regardless of his feelings on it. If he doesn't like it and walks away before that, so be it.... IU's brand is Great Value to anyone without gray hair, so not sure Woodson is really doing any damage to it for those that it will matter for that the next staff will be looking for. Look, IU football would have embraced mediocrity with open arms up until as recently as 6 months ago, so hire the right guy and that is all that will really matter. Answer yourself this question: What of these choices does firing CMW with 9 games left in the season accomplish? 1) Allows for better coaching by his inexperienced assistants 2) Make a tournament bid more likely 3) Enhance IU's future coaching pool 4) ENhance IU's reputation 5) Satisfy fans blood lust. Other than #5. It pretty much is pointless. If it happens tomorrow, I would rejoice, but in the grand scheme it doesn't really matter.
  23. The point of moving on from that executive would be to put in placer a better option, as such there are none at IU. Other than satisfying the seething fan base there is no reason to fire CMW. I was for firing him earlier, just for fear he might eek out enough wins to be retained. That ship has all but sailed barring Jesus transferring in late season, and he may even struggle in Woodson's offense. And realize the forces that led to retaining CMW last off season are still in place. Woodson's failure and Dolsons fb accomplishments have shifted the power balance, but with no real benefit to firing him this late into this failure of a season, it seems for Dolson to use up the political capital he has amassed to merely pants Woodson seems unwise. Let Woodson lay in the bed he made and then fade into the annuls of IU failed coaching.
  24. All true, but I will say, personnel wise, at least from athletic ability stand point, IU has been the better team in all but maybe 1 or 2 games this season. As basketball players( smarts, discipline, effort, attitude) they have not been and this falls wholly on the coaches.
