  1. Aversion to domestic violence Prefer the Men's HC not be glassy eyed at the Blubird. A very good to great basketball coach that can't get a sniff at any storied or even good basketball program. Funny how all these administrations just let him slip through the cracks. Hmmmmm, that doesn't seem to make much sense. When you hear hoof beats don't think zebras.
  2. As requested for your viewing pleasure https://twitter.com/Lubbockist/status/1488482798377779203?ref_src=twsrc^tfw|twcamp^tweetembed|twterm^1488482798377779203|twgr^a7cc3ff3033769a753ac8d4c839eeb2735cd16c1|twcon^s1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fkkam.com%2Fdrunk-chris-beard-ruins-texas-tech-fans-christmas%2F
  3. Alex, I'll take "two things I don't give a sh*t about when selecting the next IU coach for $1000." And, seriously, invoking Hoosier status as a factor in choosing a coach? FFS
  4. Expecting Woodson to man up ever. What's that old expression about the definition of insanity?
  5. How is May a bigger fish than Cronin? Cronin is in every top 20 list you can find. And comparing Cronin to Crean? That's just silly to put it kindly
  6. Gotta disagree. Dolson and IU cant force Woodson to answer questions and really who gives a sh*t. What did they expect to hear, "Dolson fired me but I am pretending to retire?" I can write his response had he given one, "I am stepping down as IU's HC effective the end of the season. My goal when I got here was to get the program back headed in the right direction , and I have accomplished that goal. We've made multiple tournament appearances and have established a top NIL program that rivals any in college basketball. I informed Scott Dolson earlier this week of my plans to allow him the advantage of preparing for the future. I intend on continuing on coaching these broken hearted fellas and getting them over the hump very soon." OK, maybe not the last sentence. But all that was missed out on was canned BS.
  7. Yeah, I'm aware. I meant the name in general just seemed like one from the 70's. Poorly worded by me.
  8. When I here the name Dusty May, the name reminds me of a 70's female hippie folk singer or a stripper.
  9. May's answer yesterday was almost an admission of interest/yearning. Reporter: Any interest in the IU job? Dusty: It's flattering, it's crazy, I love being at UM, this place is my foundation, but I'm happy at Mich. Reporter: Is there anything you can say to Mich fans that are worried? Dusty: There is nothing I can say, hasn't crossed my mind other than what friends and family have said. Loved coaching at UM IU is my foundation Friends and family Those sound like talking points from a resignation from UM taking IU job speech.
  10. So are you saying WestCon HC with is his "Guy?"
  11. If that is true, I don't see "his guy" being anyone other than Stevens or May. Beard, Cronin, Drew, TJ Otz, Pearl would all be great/good get guys, but not "his guy." And to have "his guy" would imply a lot of communication and near finalization. That seems highly unlikely to have already happened with May, unless Dolson is a ninja AD. So that leaves Stevens. Will it happen? I am in the fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, you got my gullible azz, damn you're cruel camp. So in short Welcome Coach Stevens
  12. Wait, but I thought I heard he was highly revered in the coaching fraternity, the players are unconsolably despondent, and his love for IU is unmatched. Plus, if it wasn't for that darned Purdue loss he would be looking at an NCAA run and year 5.
  13. Completely true, but it has got to be hard on the players. Perfect world is Woody steps away and the team wins 4 or 5 of the last 7
  14. The Raftery Dedes gushing was fake syrupy pathetic. It was like they were reminiscing about a sick Jimmy V. Almost everything they said was the opposite of the truth. I actually LOLed when they talked about Woodson drawing up a great OOB play for them after a TO. Also interesting is that they said MW told them some things they would not repeat. I think he was crying to the announcers about being fired before the game.
  15. Health issue? Malignant Ego?
  16. UF was down 10 in like 5 minutes and has just boat raced AU since. Clayton Jr has Steph range.
  17. Dusty May /UM constantly giving up big leads are a concern. I haven't watched enough DM to have strong opinion, but after Stevens, if you get 8-10 yrs of Mark Few that would be hard to say no.
  18. These guys are playing the hits. Great career Respected by other coaches Loved by Players Players shocked and hurt. LMFAO
  19. Man the announcers are really planting their lips firmly on Woodson's @$$.
  20. We want Dusty Mays-76 Fire Mike Woodsons-68
  21. Beard purely as a coach would be a home run. But also one more of these videos from a complete implosion. Dolson needs to tread lightly. https://x.com/Lubbockisthttps://twitter.com/i/status/1488482798377779203
  22. It seems, at minimum, two top tier guys are backchanneling IU ( Few and Beard), so it appears the landscape has changed with IU's NIL budget being a huge draw.
  23. Another sign the feckless IU administration allows for unchecked ineptitude and insubordination.
  24. Locust, famine, fires. So just our average Tuesday about now.
