Well if the Langford family are the type of people we all believe them to be up to this point, they would surely stay away from being involved with any type of bribes Kansas tries to throw their way. They should know darn well that in just a year or two’s time from now, Romeo will be making all the money his family could ever dream of once he’s drafted in the league. Why risk doing dirty business with Kansas for a one year fling? IU is going to propel him to new heights and he’s gonna be making bank when he’s done with the candy stripes.

I’m thinking if Self did indeed stop by to see him, then Romeo got his shot in person to say no thanks.

Right, that’s true. I didn’t see anything on there about Bill Self being in New Albany, but have seen other people say they have seen or heard about it. Knowing everything we know pro-IU up to this point, lets say there’s truth to Self seeing Romeo...would it even be cause for concern at this point?

Yep, on the Kansas 247 site, someone said “there will be some new info on Langford coming out over the weekend.”

Not having to play at Wisconsin or at Ohio State will be nice.

The main thing I would be dealing with if/when that happens are the sore loser Ohio State and Purdue fans at my work accusing Archie of being a cheater.....they were already saying we are cheating just because of being in the running with Romeo.....really??!!

It’d be so cool to get commits from TJD, Brooks, and Watford all at about the same time after Romeo. Talk about making a splash...my excitement is starting to shift over to what happens AFTER April 30th.

Yep, there’s been things piecing together here lately that make Romeo to IU make too much sense to just be smoke. Like mdn82 mentioned, if all this leaked info that has been going around been about one of the other teams, we would be the ones thinking we don’t have him.

Same here. Most of my co-workers are all Purdue, Michigan, or Ohio State fans and dog on IU as often as they can, but when I told them we hired Archie and what he’s been able to do up to this point, they’ve been shaking in their boots..

Yep, we are definitely going to have depth. Even if that ends up not being the starting lineup because of youth and experience, our bench is going to be full of talent no matter how Archie makes the starting lineup. I bet Green is buying into what Archie is selling and is going to be willing to be that all around playmaker since we’ll have several more capable shooters on the team. I also think the freshman will tune into Archie’s style of play quicker than this past team’s players because he himself recruited them to fit how he wants to play.

Love thinking of a starting lineup that would consist of: Phinisee, Romeo, Hunter, Smith, and Juwan....my deepest apologies rest of the Big10, but time to start getting used to it.

I wonder if they wanted to get the Romeo stuff ironed out and set in stone before they made the announcement. Romeo wanted to make sure Juwan was coming back, and Juwan wanted to make sure Romeo was coming. Once some more concrete info came out about Romeo to IU yesterday, they then went ahead with the announcement about Juwan. Now Juwan knows Romeo is coming, and Romeo knows he will be back, regardless of the draft entering news.

All Archie needed to be a big time success were the resources and prestige IU can provide him that a school like Dayton could not. He’s young enough to be able to build quite the dynasty for the next 25-30 years. Obviously it’s great to know we can now get 5 stars at a steady pace, but to be able to COACH them, too?? Heaven

I also saw on the HSN site that a trusted source heard this morning that TJD is ready to commit to IU but his mom wants him to wait until his in home visits are done so he can be 100% sure. This is getting very exciting indeed.

For Romeo to be waiting to see what Juwan decides, while Juwan waits to see what Romeo decides, don’t you think there’d be a middle man in there (Archie) to say “Hey Juwan, Romeo will come here if you stay, so you’re staying right? You are? Ok great, I’ll let Romeo know.”... “Hey Romeo, Juwan said he plans on staying if you come, so you’re coming right? You are? Ok cool, I’ll let Juwan know.” You would think that if BOTH of them were wondering what each other were doing that it’d be able to be figured out pretty quick. I’m not saying this is how things are happening, just saying that it’s fairly easy to let both sides know what’s happening if both of them are waiting on each other.

Romeo got to see first hand what will always happen if he goes to Vanderbilt to play with Darius....Darius trying to be the show and making stupid decisions instead of passing to a wide open Romeo. Wasn’t the smartest thing to do in that game if you want Romeo to join you at Vandy. I also noticed that Romeo shined the most and made most of his points in that game when Darius was on the bench away from him, not stealing the spotlight. I don’t think any of the 11 assists Darius had involved Romeo getting a bucket, maybe one... (did you notice that as well, Romeo??)
