If he really did cancel I have to think he is a Hoosier. I think I want him more than TJD. I can't see him being a four year player. I think he is going to be a top ten recruit by the end of the season.

Greenberg is the worst. I remember he gave some really dumb takes on Indiana's hire of Archie Miller.

For me it would have been right after IU beat Michigan State in a tough road game. That season fell apart after that. I read a book (Missing Banners) that pretty much said that team was so worn out at the end of the season. They didn't have a lot of depth either.

I'm a young IU fan but I have never (even when this team was #1) been more excited about IU basketball than I am now. I think a lot of good things are on the horizon with this program.

I thought the same thing too. His role is going to change on this team and I'm not sure what will happen.

Wow... that was fun tonight! You can't get too high off a win but they put on a clinic tonight. Considering they had four players out that was amazing. I loved the starting line up-they played so well together. Rob and Al have to play together more often. Fitzner off the bench was terrific. The St. Mary's coach has to be like Butch Jones at Tennessee when he had Alvin Kamara... Fitz is the real deal! I hope they show up Sunday against Arkansas. A tough place to play.

I think every other sport but college basketball gets it. The games should be about 2hr and 15 min after the first one. (example first game at 6 next game at 8:15.)

Welcome Armaan! I think he will be a solid 4 year in-state player for this team! May not have a big impact his freshman year but he will be a solid player by the time he is an upper-classman.

Can’t blame him for wanting to see his options. He has three really good choices. A lot can happen between now and April (recruits, transfers, early entries to the draft). I’d love to see him at IU (still think he ends up here. Alford gets canned and MSU has a loaded frontcourt) but we can’t rely on one player-I think everyone knows that. Under the previous regime we’d have a really good season and collapse the next year. I really love this Freshman class and add Al and Justin into the mix and you have a great core. I think that is how this season is going to be. Whoever steps up in practice that week is going to play. One week it may be Clifton and the next it could be Jake. It is a good problem to have.

I think the number 1 thing I love about Archie is that he is always wanting to get better. Most coaches don't pay attention to the little stuff but I like that he is concerned about some things.

Awesome time last night at the game! A few thoughts from being at the game: 1) I thought the student section was great for an exhibition game. I hope this year they show up like that for every game. 2) This team has depth-as we already knew. Devonte and Al were banged up but Rob and Damezi stepped up! This team has so many lineups that they can use. 3) If McRoberts can consitently hit two or three three pointers a game this team is going to have even more options offensively. 4) Romeo can play some defense..that was his "weakness" 5) Really wanted to see Jerome play. Hope it is just a minor injury. 6) If Rob Phinisee plays even close to this level during the regular season he will be your starting PG. I still think Devonte will be starting but that all depends on how long he is out. But he is on a short leash. Yes it is only an exhibition game but I saw a lot of positives. I hope this is a special year on the horizon.

I think Jerome could be the sleeper on this team. Very talented player. I don't think he will be here all four years.

I'll be there tomorrow! Looking forward to it! I am starved for basketball season. Really interested to see the lineup and rotation tomorrow. My guess with Devonte and Race out: Rob Romeo Zach Justin Juwan Al, Fitzner, Jerome, De'Ron, and Damezi off the bench in that order.

Agreed. I know preseason rankings are just for fun and conversation but no way should they be ranked-even if it is towards the bottom. Edwards and maybe that grad transfer are the only major impact players that I see. Eastern and Haarms did not impress me at all last year despite the hype.

I think he would be the odds on favorite. I don't think you can go wrong with either but once Rob gets going I think he is the PG of the future. There is a reason a lot of the 2019 guards stayed away and he is part of it. I do like Devonte but he is on a short leash I think. If he really struggles early on I think Archie will do to Al or Rob. Gotta love the competition!

I hope so too! Kind of reminds me of Yogi in 2012 but I don't think Rob is as talented. I also think Rob may be one of the more under valued recruits in the nation. We shall see!
