SIAP, but how many years of eligibility left for XJ?
-
Bob Knight would not have approved of the technique
-
Nah, clearly a goiter. :)
-
Woodson would be very underwhelming IMO. Would rather have Lewis or even Alford TBH
-
Things are most certainly not going according to plan at this point. Time to call Lewis and load him up with a top notch staff.
-
I'm guessing Stevens was the entire plan. No contingency after that - simply appears we are throwing darts at this point hoping to hit something.
-
This is getting a bit embarrassing now...
-
The more I read on Michael Lewis, the more I think he becomes a good option if we go with an 'IU guy'. He can build a staff with other IU guys if desired, but of the IU options mentioned, Lewis seems to have the most complete coaching background.

if stevens is out, count me in the Beard camp. i watch a lot of Big 12 hoops and i love his style.

Candidate Thread: Brad Stevens (Boston Celtics)

be careful - we may still have the worst in the Big 10, along with a pissed off donor with $10M less to his/her name. -

TBH I think Beard and Drew are extreme longshots as well. $10M donor is going to be underwhelmed with what his/her money bought I'm now thinking. done deal..... -

'done deal'. please. never was a done deal, and that was more than a denial. -

sorry, but if this is truly a done deal, then there would be no reason for denials, etc. It would be in everyone's best interest to move forward with the pieces they have. For the Celtics, they would want an interim that can begin to 'prove himself'. For IU, they would want to get started with new coach - putting staff together, recruits, etc. For Brad, he would want to mentally begin his new gig and begin on IU business. I believe the insiders, but the whole idea that this is 'done', but eveyrone is going to pretend it isn't for a while makes zero sense. -

THIS. IS. MARCH. IT SPREADS

Archie's seat will be scorching. Looking around the country, the only seat that may rival the heat may be Steve Prohm's at Iowa State. Team is about to go 0-fer in conference play, and they had some seriously good teams under Hoiberg.

ha - even if I had that kind of scratch, I wouldn't donate until I knew the name they were targeting and that it was a 'done deal' pending donors stepping up.

(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS
thehelgo replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Had a run in with a friend who is a big KU fan last night. He is a huge hoops fan and follows KU religiously. As we watched our kids practice soccer, the conversation turned to hoops, etc. I have never really brought up the Langford recruitment to him, but he decided to last night. The conversation went like this: Friend: "Hey, I see that we are both in on a pretty high level recruit that announces at the end of this month or something" Me: "Yeah, really hoping for an IU pick on this one" Friend: "I can't remember the kid's name, but sounds like he could be a pretty good addition to our already stacked class - not sure if he'll start or just be a good contributor off the bench, but could give KU another nice piece" Me: "His name is Romeo Langford and he would not just be a nice piece, but a potential game changer for any program, but perhaps moreso for IU" Friend: "I hear he is really leaning KU, so we'll see" Me: "I don't know, man. He is an Indiana kid that is announcing at his high school and making the announcement open to the public. Seems like a KU pick would be a bit poorly received in that scenario" Friend: "Huh, wasn't aware of any of that" My point in sharing this is that it is amazing how different fan bases see this decision and how important and celebrated he would be if he chose IU versus being seen as 'another nice piece' at KU. -

I see McKinley Wright asked out of his Dayton LOI. I wonder if he is still a possibility here? With Durham back in the fold, there is the question of room, but who knows. -
Archie Miller's staff at Indiana will be Bruiser Flint, Tom Ostrom (Dayton) and Ed Schilling (UCLA),

so, which assistants have actually been confirmed at this point? -

Hopefully we get word on staff soon. Like many have said - Groce, Ostrum, Kuwik would all be wins. -
So, the code still does not work. My guess is that they are losing out on some decent sales due to f'ing up the promo code. I am certainly wanting to buy some, but am waiting for the code to work.

Jacobsen and Tonagel?? I assume that is a joke?
-
I don't believe this for a second. I thought the point at the end of the day was to win games and go on deep tourney runs? You're telling me that students would rather see 96-91 losses than 66-60 wins?? Please.
