  1. Turgeon smokescreen, obviously.
  2. I don't think the changing date indicates anything negative. The timing for both sides would be key so there's no reason they couldn't have adjusted the timeline of things more than once. All hypothetical, of course.
  3. I do give a nod toward your writing skills.
  4. Only 700 more pages to go! That being said if this place turns into a poetry jam I'll just see you after the hire. Lol
  5. Maybe his actual coaching is exposed now that he's been forced to play on a level playing field when it comes to "acquiring" talent.
  6. Yeah, I was actually warming to the idea of him but that's a red flag. I know he's a curmudgeon and honestly that's ok, but to go directly at the fans after your team threw the game away.... That won't fly here (unless you're a true fan).
  7. They sure barfed that one away.
  8. That is unreal to me. I should have said it by now if I haven't already but I appreciate you sharing your bracketology prowess.
  9. I've wondered what the pulse of things is around their program. He's in year 4 and it's been peaks and valleys: Year 1: Title game appearance. Year 2: NIT invite (declined) Year 3: Sweet 16 Year 4: 15-11 and on the outside looking in. How is he viewed by fans, admin, players? Has he kept good recruiting ties and solid relationships with assistant coaches? .....Has he asked for a guarantee on a fifth year? Lol
  10. Clickbait headlines are so annoying.
  11. I'll share a spot of common ground with you here. And I don't think you worry as much about age with him because I think he coaches until he can't. Theoretically he's a guy that you can hire with an estimated expiration date but is guaranteed to leave the program top tier and attractive to the next crop of premier Coaches for hire. Additional thought: I'm not worried about his indiscretions at U6. Now that he can just throw cash at players he can leave the hookers out of it.
  12. Bob struggles with reading comprehension because that's exactly all we've been trying to do.
  13. At least Bob's ghost contributes to the page count. Be careful what you wish for, Chris.
  14. Nah. I was here first. I don't know what it is you're looking for here, but it's probably back the way you came.
  15. If you want to call me out specifically go ahead. I never defended the pro Stevens nuggets. I defended the people to you showed up to insult for no reason other than to be miserable.
  16. See how many asterisks you can use before we can't piece together your tantrums.
  17. Close your eyes. Ten deep breaths. It's not that deep man.
  18. What up 7-4. Dick isn't spelled m-i-n-e-r.
  19. Ya know, speaking of Seth Greenberg....
  20. I agree although I don't exactly know what to expect as far as how that's being approached during peak season when you really want him focusing on finishing this season strong heading into March. I would assume most of the time when a school wants to extend a head coach or rework a contract they'll just wait until the end of the season to dig into the details. Obviously it's Dusty's agent doing most of the talking and listening at this point but it would be really interesting to know whether or not Dusty has told them he'd rather wait until the season's over to work on it. If he wants to hold off to the end of the season I'd say that means he's taking a really hard look at Indiana or possibly even already made up his mind.
  21. If Jr wants the job he'll eventually have to drive a stake through his vampire father's heart to get it.
  22. If anything I like knowing how afraid they are of Indiana right now.
  23. Hey Ant, since you're here... McNeese is about to fend off *checks notes*... the SE Louisiana Lions to move to 15-1 in the Southland. It's time to make that coach a strong a** offer.
  24. Ok Ant. Time to reveal yourself. We know you're here!
  25. Minnesota doesn't care about basketball. They just don't. Resources have a lot to do with it, and I'll agree it's a coach's job to maximize whatever it is they may be working with, but a green coach is only capable so much at that type of program. In my opinion he jumped into the fire too soon after 1 good season at FIU where ironically he had to 180 the Isaiah Thomas debacle. His first season in the B1G he was 31 years old with 1 year head coaching experience. Those inconsistent years could very well be growing pains. He's 83-45 at NM including a 13-19 first season. Am I saying he's at the top of the list? Nah. Is he a guy who could come to a resourceful program like Indiana and eventually be a top tier coach? Sure. He's seemed to really benefit from the portal since it's inception so I think the landscape only favors him. This is not a campaign to go take a chance on RPJ because it's not something we're in position to do, however I do think it will be interesting to follow his career.
