  1. Top 50 IOL out of Indianapolis, IN 247 Rivals On3
  2. Not just the fans but coaches as well. Keep in mind a lot of coaches in the IHSAA played football at IU and ISU. And they coach/coached a lot of kids that are on both rosters. They'd like to make the trip to not only see their alma mater but also the kid(s) they coached in high school. Give up is probably not the word I would use but to each their own. The portal goes both ways and losing players (i.e. Dasan McCullough) to the portal is what it is. Overall, I believe CTA actually came out ahead with the portal this year and some of them are young and will need to be developed. But that's just my opinion.
  3. I was thinking the complete opposite. LOL! Regardless, it's bad for IHSAA football.
  4. That Sept 8 Friday game is blasphemy for ISHAA football. A lot of Indiana high school coaches and fans want to go see their hometown kid play but will miss out.
  5. IOL out of Kaukauna, WI 247 Rivals On3
  6. Top 50 TE out of Clarkston, MI 247 Rivals On3
  7. I'm sure he's expecting a national championship! LOLOL!!! We'll see man.
  8. He'll probably be fine with his current team. LOL. He wins 2 games this year it's better than last season. His team sucked last year.
  9. What's the count of players transferring to Colorado? I think it's pretty high, like close to 30 or something. I recall 24/7 had them transfer ranked #1 and the recruiting class wasn't bad either. Like something close to 20 recruits coming in. This team had a worse record than IUFB so it makes sense the mass exodus is happening. I guess what I'm saying here is that the players leaving probably will find a landing spot at a school like Ball St. or something because that's the talent level. It's no knock to those playing at mid-majors it's just that there's vast difference in talent from a PAC-12 school to a MAC school.
  10. I don't see Gonzaga having deep pockets with the likes of Duke or UK. I foresee new universities getting in on this because of how incredibly deep their pockets are. Like don't rule out a school like Miami or Texas. It's going to be about alumni aka collective dollars when it's all said and done. Marketability will take a back seat because it's not about that anymore. It helps but in the end it's about collective dollars.
  11. I can see a scenario where kids will love coming to IU for a chance at winning a title and developing to raise their stock, all while getting paid. Winning and development was ultimately the reason why kids loved IU in the past. Now IU can finally sit at table that's pretty much always been around because you know, it's legal now.
  12. Oh ok, gotcha. I didn't even think about that aspect of it. I just saw that he's from St. Louis and he's considering Mizzu and IU. It's good to know players are thinking of IU that way. Is he a next level guy?
  13. What's the story with him? Is he just wanting to get closer to home? Because I'm really surprised he hit the portal.
  14. This^^^^ I've said on here before that if I were coaching in the NCAA this would be my strategy for building a team, in any sport. Every team in the final four has at least 1 transfer in the starting lineup and only one team (UCONN) is starting a freshman. (Not counting Boyd with FAU because he had 23 games under his belt the previous year.) Miami has the most transfers in the starting lineup with 3 (Pack, Omier, Miller). EDIT: And if I were fortunate enough to be offered a scholarship to play at the next level I would make my school of choice based on NIL dollars offered, coach's development success, or school's rep in a certain sector. Probably in that order as well. And if none of those worked out I would feel fine with that because I'll have the option to transfer out.
  15. Isn't Banks an in between Wing/Post? Also, this might not be the popular opinion, but I think Bates is going to dramatically improve should he stick around. Cause man, when he's on he's on. Especially on the defensive side of things. It's just a matter of him being consistent.
  16. I'm under the same assumption. Could you elaborate? I'm not familiar with the Ball St. offense Lewis runs.
  17. A bit more athletic, higher amount of minutes played, higher FG%, higher REB avg, higher AST avg, more PTS per game, is from the state of Indiana so understands the culture here, coached by an ex IUBB player and other differences fellow users have pointed out.
  18. Probably looking to replace Isaiah Swope. For personal reasons I'd like to see Swope wearing the cream and crimson. Not sure he's what CMW is looking for but wherever he ends up that team will instantly improve.
  19. I trust CMW will do his best to get his team ready for next season. I'm also looking forward to see what kind of team he has in mind. Enjoy the ride folks, I suspect it's going to be a tough team with grit that creates shots off their defensive play.

  21. I've had some similar conversations with fellow IUBB faithful. One in particular was hitting on 3 and 4. I just disagreed with him and pointed out JHS is wearing the uniform and should be grateful! I'm searching for that postgame interview/video online and can't find it. Could someone post it? Thanks in advance and I truly appreciate it.
  22. My perception that night against Arizona was the game was officiated completely different then the three previous games IUBB played. Officials do indeed change the complexion of a game and that night was a prime example. Thus causing me to tweet a receipt for this very conversation. But I do understand what you're saying here and somewhat agree with it. It's possible there could be multiple reasons why the conference suffers year after year in the NCAA tournament. It's been going on for decades now. Trying to figure out what's been consistent for those decades and changing that is what matters here. I don't think there's a silver bullet but I do think there's a starting point to address (officiating). In my opinion, it will change how teams are recruited and completely overhaul programs.
  23. Today we're about to find out if the B1G is contender or pretender. 5 games slotted today. With Maryland kicking it off. Let's hope the conference doesn't poop the bed folks! https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/schedule/_/date/20230316 Here's to not getting any work done for the next two days!
