IUFB's 6 losses win-loss record of their opponents: 45-9 IUFB's 3 wins win-loss record of their opponents: 7-20 IUFB's remaining win-loss record of their opponents: 9-18 Should be interesting to see how this all plays out.

Coach Curt Cignetti to INDIANA... Forever and Ever, Amen!
Lebowski replied to mamasa's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
There's been six coaches after Mallory and Cam's win loss record is ranked 5th out of 6. -
You obviously aren't reading their resumes and when they were coaching here. I honestly think if IUFB was currently ranked 1 and undefeated you would find something wrong with the coach. Lol.
-
Ok. If you say so. All of those coaches got plucked by historically better programs than IUFB. I'm sure they're doing something right. But keep on telling yourself they weren't any good while at some of IUFB's historically best years in its entire 136 year history.
-
He's got IUFB roots doesn't he?

https://www.si.com/college/alabama/bamacentral/alabama-football-sports-science-center-high-performance-david-ballou-dr-matt-rhea Mike Hart, Deland McCullough, Jason Jones, Kevin Peoples, and so on. They all moved on to bigger opportunities and paychecks. Because, well, you don't care, but they were all coaching at IUFB. (Allen paid for some of his coaches with his own money.) And the program is what it is. People forget just how loaded his staff was. It was the Hiller situation that ultimately got to where we currently are with IUFB.
-
I don't think ot was luck because I don't believe in that. IMO, He's had some home run hires other than DeBoer but I get it. You want someone that is more consistent. I want that too.
-
Those are stats. IUFB executed taking the ball away. It was a big reason they won 8 games one season and finished ranked in the top 20 another season. It is the entire mantra of a CTA defense.
-
They didn't execute better then IUFB yesterday.
-
I've got a bridge to sell you.
-
Same team.
-
So, kudos to Allen for recruiting and hiring? It's not like they just decided to come to IUFB for no reason, right? Do the two you mention here "owe" anything to IUFB and CTA? Like without IUFB, their chemistry takes a little longer to build and who knows what kind of record Washington has, correct? Look, I'm not saying CTA is the right guy for IUFB but man, we fans have to try and look at the entire CTA picture honestly. He deserves credit when credit is due.
-
Man, I couldn't have said it any better. This entire conversation is hypothetical and likely won't happen. But if it does, I'm happy for the program and will enjoy the success it achieved this season. And CTA was a reason for it.
-
Let's be real honest and compare his overall resume. He has had the most wins by any other IUFB coach over the past twenty years. He's beaten teams IUFB hasn't beaten in decades. And if he goes bowling this year, he deserves credit for achieving that rare experience for the program. He's already coached 23% of the program's bowl history, and if they go bowling this year, that would jump to 29%. The program is what it is.
-
I'm like a broken record here, IUFB has a total of 13 bowl appearances and, wait for it, a grand total of 3 victories in its 136 year history. Read that sentence again. Folks are saying the want to fire the coach that would get IUFB its 4th bowl victory in program history. No coach these folks are wanting would ever consider coaching IUFB if they got their wishes for the hypothetical question I asked them. Not a single coach worth a darn. Not one.
-
My question was hypothetical and you are free to answer if you desire. If this year's IUFB team goes bowling and wins said bowl game; still want him gone?
-
My thoughts exactly. No coach that folks are wanting to replace CTA would ever think about working for a program that would do that. Not a single one.

Game Thread: IUFB vs Wisconsin Noon BTN
Lebowski replied to LIHoosier's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
Going into today's game, they were good enough in the west division to play for the hardware. Yeah, not as good as UM, O$U, PSU, Maryland or Rutgers, but good enough to represent that weak ars division, nonetheless. Give some credit to a team that has been playing a lot better since the OC change. Something is going good for us here. -
I can't believe folks would want to let go a coach that takes IUFB to a bowl victory. Tough crowd.

They were the team from the west division that would have played in the championship game. That's the team IUFB just beat. Wisconsin didn't execute and IUFB did. It's that simple. Credit to the Hoosiers and what kind of progress they have shown. They've been doing something right and we should give credit to the entire program. -

Big win for IUFB! They're playing better football the last couple games. -
They have played better the last two games and just beat a 5 win Wisconsin team. The remaining schedule at Illinois, MSU, at the school up north. All schools currently have 3 wins or less. So the question still stands. If, and it's a big if, this year's IUFB team goes bowling and wins said bowl; still want him gone?

Does anyone know if the Urban Meyer to MSU interwebs discussions have any legs?

IUFB: No Divisional Format Starting 2024
Lebowski replied to Lebowski's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
Eight home games! Wow, that's a lot. Another carrot for Dolson to hang during his interview process. I counted 3 wins for sure and depending on who's the coach next year, it could confidently be 5 wins with a couple more toss up games. Not seeing PSU feels like a break until you see Washington. Lol. The 2025 season looks way more promising. No UM, O$U, Washington, or SC on the schedule. https://bigten.org/news/2023/10/4/big-ten-conference-announces-future-football-schedule-formats-for-2024-28.aspx -
Thanks for the banners coach.
