  1. ^THIS!!!! I also like hearing Coach Cig say, "I operate best as an underdog." The entire country and even some folks on here have a perception that IUFB isn't a desired place to win, because it hasn't. He's got something to prove. I mentioned in this thread that if IU wanted to be serious they should hire a guy with that kind of mindset and a solid resume, an older guy preferably. Someone that wants to create a legacy, and doing it at IU (the most losing program in FBS history) is the perfect double middle finger to all the "doormat school" mother effers that think this way. The perfect underdog story. Fact of the matter, Dolson hired the perfect coach for this scenario. He'll get paid, either by IU or somewhere else, but I take comfort in the administration knowing they're not effin' around with the football program anymore. Us IUFB faithful have finally got a top to bottom approach that's been missing here. In the meantime, two sellouts already with a third right around the corner. We'll be fine folks.
  2. To be fair, I am not sure about the net worth value as someone has come on here to clarify my statement made. I was confusing Mr. Yonkman, with Carl Cook.
  3. Thanks for sharing. Appreciate the correction. I don't want to say the wrong things.
  4. The man asking him this question is connected to one of the richest names in Indiana with an estimated $3B net worth. The man answering the question knows this and answered the question to perfection. Coach Cig is present. If his agent calls him, like he mentioned in this interview, his agent calls him. The main point of this post is to focus on the guy asking the questions if we want to have a seat at the table with the big boys. Mr. Yonkman, if you're reading this, thank you very much for your contributions and I very much appreciate all of the help that you are doing not only for IU athletics but IUFB in particular. In the meantime, be present, enjoy this ride folks. We got ourselves a coach! Edit: Made correction to net worth claim.
  5. Is there a place where I can find in depth stats? In particular, I'm looking for offensive line stats, stuff like hurries/pressures allowed, etc. etc.
  6. 1. The tied teams will be compared based on head-to-head matchups during the regular season. 2. The tied teams will be compared based on record against all common conference opponents. 3. The tied teams will be compared based on record against common opponents with the best conference record and proceeding through the common conference opponents based on their order of finish within the conference standings. 4. The tied teams will be compared based on the best cumulative conference winning percentage of all conference opponents. 5. The representative will be chosen based on the highest ranking by SportSource Analytics (team Rating Score metric) following the regular season. 6. The representative will be chosen by random draw among the tied teams conducted by the commissioner or designee.
  7. Ok, now O$U needs to beat PSU.
  8. Yeah, if I'm a QB in high school and IU offers me, I'm seriously thinking about going there. I take comfort knowing who's coaching the position. And when Rourke is drafted and McCloud signs with an NFL team the IUFB stock raises even higher. Assuming we can keep Coach Cig, IUFB will be a sought out place to play by some of the nation's best high school QBs.
  9. I completely understand what you're saying here and somewhat agree. But I'm still in the "wait and see the season play out" mode if that makes sense. The favored teams are basically winning (8-2) the games. This week's two+ time zone travel MINN (-5) at UCLA O$U (-3) at ORE PSU (-4) at USC WASH (+3) at IOWA This week all of these games minus MINN v UCLA are really good games with a lot of parity and I won't be surprised if all road teams win this week. I also won't be surprised, based on how this year has gone, that spreads won't be covered. I think this might be the week that will test the time zone travel theory because most of the road teams are favored. I think if anything, the oddsmakers aren't adjusting properly.
  10. I saw this stat and wonder if it's just matchups or is the two+ time zone travel actually an issue. I'm too lazy to look up home field advantage victories this year. I just know IUFB is undefeated. ;-)
  11. Just another example.
  12. I'm making a lot assumptions here but assuming IUFB goes into Columbus undefeated (huge assumption!), we would want them with a lose already due to having a better chance to play in the B1G championship game after we beat them in their house. But we aren't remotely close to that scenario quite yet. IUFB vs Nebraska. Gotta win one game at a time.
  13. I read somewhere that so far only one school won on the road in two different time zones. IUFB over UCLA in the Rose and all other games the home team won. O$U travels to Oregon.
  14. Yeah, they got bailed out by a controversy non targeting call. That completely changed the game. https://x.com/awfulannouncing/status/1842811939748982924?t=3XiChq9aT1adouMR-5DEdA&s=19 Same kind of poop happened to them last week against VA Tech. Also the TD play that put them ahead was illegal as well due to multiple ineligible players down the field. https://x.com/ChrisVannini/status/1842813597572890838?t=3KfVNkD6ouFmRdR2JglZbg&s=19 Bottom line, they're getting the lucky breaks they need during a season.
  15. 3rd prediction. 6 wins and 0 losses.
  16. Yeah, it was a one of the better articles I've read so far. It was also about Dolson. I take comfort knowing his criteria for hiring a IUFB HC.

  19. Oh man, landing this kid will do wonders for the IUFB program.
  20. Another safety enters the portal today. The team's depth is being tested.
  21. on3 247 WR - Donaven McCulley S - DJ Warnell S - Tyrik McDaniel LB - Nahji Logan WR - EJ Williams OT - Noah Bolticoff
  22. Updated after Bryon Baldwin's decommit.
  23. Best of luck to him. He was one of the bright spots during one of the worst offenses IUFB has ever had. It's unfortunate it didn't work for both parties and I truly hope he finds a place where he's able to continue to grow not only as a player but as a human being as well.
