  1. None of those schools on this list would give him the type of control he currently has. Maybe Arkansas. But even that job still has its challenges. Most importantly, if he goes I have faith in the current administration hiring the right guy to replace him. It's clear they are investing in IUFB, finally! But I don't think he goes anywhere. He's here to win a national championship for the school that has the most losses in college football history just to prove a point and give the finger to all those schools that passed up on him in the past.
  2. Bill Connelly and Harry Lyles Jr has IUFB in the CFP. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/page/playoffpredictions092824/college-football-playoff-picks-predictions-week-5 Ranked. AP: 23 Coaches: 24
  3. That's going to happen. It should. They've earned it. Cig will just reload. Folks want to coach for him. We just gotta keep Cig.
  4. Looks like a lot of folks are changing the way they think about IUFB. I knew it all along. https://x.com/JeffLebowski812/status/1730320420870541496?t=9bGOgT9PuAPMr3js6_cSsA&s=19 I'm on cloud 9!
  5. Also, this game will be D'Angelo Ponds' biggest test of his college career. I really hope we're able to get some pressure on the QB to help him. I like our chances for that to happen. It's gonna be a fun matchup to watch.
  6. I have a feeling this game is going to be closer than what people think. Maryland's D will be the toughest IUFB has faced this year. Plus the weather might play a factor. We'll get a really good idea of just how good IUFB is this Saturday.
  7. If IUFB were in the SEC they'd be ranked no lower than #15. Regarding Big Ten schedules, O$U's 4-0 schedule is the second weakest next to ours. Regardless, folks are now starting to pay attention and should our beloved Hoosiers win this weekend the flood gates will be released where the national talking heads will start talking about IUFB like it's a surprise or something. It's kind of already started. But the big dogs will be talking about IUFB should they go 5-0. Had any of them done any research to what was going on during the offseason none of it would be all that surprising to them. And I love it that Coach Cig warned them during the Big Ten media day. They all just kind of laughed at him and there are plenty of receipts.
  8. Doesn't Odom already have a checkered past with Mizzou?
  9. Of course. I was making an assumption. This will all play out and there are probably receipts.
  10. I'm not sure if that's a good thing for Odom's career in the grand scheme of things. Especially, if the kid goes public, which he will. The PR surrounding UNLV and Odom's staff would easily be worth a $100K payment. Big picture stuff here. Assuming the kid hasn't seen a dime he was promised, who in their right mind stays at a job not getting paid?
  11. Yep. At the Rose Bowl we had a good showing too! On Vividseats there's only 4% of tickets left for the Maryland game and "Almost Gone" at iuhoosiers.evenue.net/list/FBM. Butts in seats!
  12. I don't understand what you're talking about. What does "game experience" mean? You said IUFB is comical. Either explain what you're talking about or deal with a diehard like myself making the comments I made. Sometimes ripping off the band-aid is the best way to address and expose things. If that hurts your feelings then don't make the 'almost comical' comments you made.
  13. @IU - Kaulie What the puck does 'game experience' even mean?! Attending a Big Ten football game in a large +50k seat stadium doesn't get more game experience than anything else that I can think of. For real. What the heck does 'game experience' mean? Give examples please. And to think waiting for the wheather to get colder will help with attendance is, as you put it, comical. Ask the folks in Athens, GA or Gainesville, FL or any SEC or ACC southern team for that matter about how much the weather matters for their attendance. I'll bet my entire life savings that 9 out of 10 that you ask, answers, "It doesn't matter." Us IUFB faithful will never understand this type of mindset. I'd rather read from folks that they just aren't football fans and could care less about the program than read some of these sorry ars excuses. Eff sake, either get on this train or get off. Enough with the excuses. Change your mindset. Take it from a guy that's watched this program since the 80s, this team is different. In a good way.

  15. This type of thinking isn't what Coach Cig wants in his locker room. JMHO.
  16. "Change the way people think." Coach Cig
  17. D had zero sacks today. That's not like them. Hopefully they get that back on track.

  19. To be fair, from what I understand most schools didn't want to "take a chance" on him because of his age. So I'm not sure he really had the opportunity to move on from JMU. I also read or heard on a podcast somewhere that Dolson needed to make a pitch to get him at IU. Something to do with NIL etc. etc.. I guess Coach Cig wasn't really interested in the job until Dolson promised the commitment Coach Cig wanted. I could be wrong though. What's awesome about the current situation is that we are seeing before our eyes a transformation on who to recruit from the transfer portal. The conventional thinking has been getting P4 players but he didn't really go that route. Instead he went after 'all-star' G5 players. I think this might be a paradigm shift of recruiting in the college football transfer portal that Coach Cig created. And that most likely goes back to him coaching at JMU for so many years.
  20. Spot on. If you had the extra day I would have told you to head down to Laguna Beach or head up to Santa Barbara for some wine tasting. LOL!
  21. Basketball might warrant this. I couldn't tell you how many times I spoke to UCLA fans about hoops out there.
  22. @DChoosier a great synopsis of your experience. I was there as well. I didn't do the "IU Bar" tent but did tailgate on the golf course. We had UCLA fans on one side of us and fellow IU fans on the other. I missed the first drive but was walking through my seat section tunnel when we scored our first TD. My crew were a bunch of California alums and they tend to just take their sweet ars time with things. That was probably the only negative thing about the whole trip. I plan on making the trip out there every time IUFB plays in Southern California. Looking forward to experiencing the Coliseum in 2027. I might even do some IUBB games out there as well. Pasadena is a great town out there. Next time you go I also recommend South Bay (the Manhattan Beach/Hermosa Beach area).
  23. Good football teams beat who they are supposed to beat pretty handedly. That wasn't the case with Coach Lynch.
  24. We need to get used to a Cignetti coached QB being discussed for post season accolades, including the Heisman. "Change the way people think." -Coach Cig
  25. I was there and it was awesome! Moving Washington out of the Questionable into the Possible. IUFB -28.5 vs Charlotte
