  1. I don’t think anyone has said our losses are his fault. He plays hard and plays with a lot of energy. His effort has definitely improved from his freshman year until now. He has been the face of the program and represented IU well. It’s debatable (maybe) how much he has improved skill wise. He’s obviously a huge reason why we are projected to be in the tournament right now. That’s THIS year though. It’s my hunch that next year our win-loss record will be better without him being on the roster. That’s really all I care about.
  2. He is our best player. We don’t know what our roster will look like next year. I do think our record will be better next year.
  3. It’s not a knock against him. I like TJD and he has represented IU well and has been a good student athlete. I don’t think he is being used right. He’s not a guy we should just be dumping it down to with his back to the basket and expect to get a bucket. He struggles to finish inside when it’s not a dunk. Kofi, Edey, Dickinson, etc. have ate his lunch on both ends and he has struggled against some of the other bigs in the BIG. That goes back to not being used right. He is who he is at this point. He needs to face the basket and needs space to attack and dunk and needs to play at a fast tempo where it’s lob city. I think we will be better as a team next year without him just because how he is being used and the makeup of this roster. He should make good money playing basketball as a professional but I don’t see that being in the NBA. I think his chances of being drafted are average at best.
  4. 100%. I think we will be better next year ….. without TJD. I don’t think he is all that close to being an NBA player. He can run and dunk and that’s cool and all but what else?
  5. Is TJD going to play? He is getting pushed around by their bigs. They ain’t Kofi.
  6. I would love to see X play 40 tonight. CMW is not going to go without a point guard and the thought of playing Lander after his last performance makes me for lack of a better word nervous.
  7. Purdue maybe. Illinois will go away.
  8. So was at the game and please forgive me for not going through this thread as I’m sure this has been talked about so many times but I think a lot of us were just shocked how Kofi quite frankly just dominated TJD on both ends. I’m not sure how it translated on television but live I don’t know what to say other than that was just really tough to watch as a TJD fan. We weren’t expecting that. Kofi knew it. Illinois knew it. That was just really tough to see I don’t know what else to say. TJD didn’t show up against PU and the UM big man did whatever he wanted against us too. Is TJD just not on that level when he doesn’t have a clear advantage athletically or physically against lesser and smaller opponents? Can we survive going forward without RP? I want to say I think we can but I just don’t know. For all the crap he takes on here he is greatly missed. One thing that is for sure is that Lander can’t play but we have no options. The only other thing I will add is that I have liked Bates. Still do. Right now though I’m not so sure he should be getting the minutes he is getting. Anthony Leal should be getting minutes.
  9. I like you. That is all.
  10. I disagree somewhat. Parker doesn’t move much at all on offense. When he does move it’s not anything close to full speed. Kopp is much better than Parker on the defensive end. He is very active with his hands.
  11. I didn’t really storm the court but was on the court along the out of bounds line opposite the scorers table. I don’t see a problem with it this time. Students are not thinking about anything at that point just the excitement of beating a top ranked team at the buzzer. A lot of emotion. We definitely were aware of the nine game losing streak and to win that way was unbelievable. Everything is basically new for us. New team. New staff. Packing the Hall. It won’t become a habit but it felt right and it felt good after this one.
  12. BIG. SHOT. ROB. I just got back from the game and a lot of thoughts about it but I’m just going to enjoy this one! So happy for Rob P! This kid plays with so much heart and plays so hard each time he steps on the court. He has been through so much and seems like a really good student athlete who has represented IU and the program so well since he stepped foot on campus. Their has been a lot of comments on here from different people about him that makes me cringe sometimes but everyone can have their own take or whatever. I have always been a big fan of RP and so happy for him tonight!!!!!
  13. If some of the national guys don’t know who Trey Galloway is they will at the end of this game. He’s the star of the show on both ends. Ivey who? We get it done in a close one.
  14. It’s tough because Race is one of our best players but he doesn’t fit a CMW offense. He is on the perimeter too much where he shouldn’t be shooting jumpers. In a perfect world JG would be the 4 man because he has the skill set for this offense but he isn’t there yet. He is too turnover prone and gets absolutely lost on defense which is holding him back from playing more and rightfully so in my opinion. With this lineup the ball and player movement would be high along with having another shooter on the floor. On defense, Leal proved last year he isn’t afraid to battle a little bit inside. Again, it depends on the opponent and matchups. This is just for fun. I know we will never see it but it’s the lineup I would like to see.
  15. This will be unpopular I’m sure but since that doesn’t bother me I would still like to see what something like this looks like (opponent/matchup dependent). TJD Leal Trey Miller/Parker X/Rob
  16. I would still like to see what we would look like if went with a small lineup. It depends on the team we are playing and matchups because you can’t do that against every opponent but I still would like to see what that looks like in a CMW system.
