I think 3 out of 4 is realistic (NC, UL, Butler) and KU is a toss-up. I'm expecting 2 of 4 but wouldn't be shocked with 3.

I like the "typo" in the thread title haha I think the game is a toss-up but I see Vegas favoring KU by 5 or 6. I feel like this isn't a game that a CTC-coached team usually wins but would love to proven wrong. Would love if OG and TB took over and had dominant performances.

Excited to see our guards go head to head with KU's. Based on last night, I think OG is going to score more points than I anticipated. He's much more assertive and knows he's the dude out there. I like Davis' game. Anyone see a little Dejuan Blair??

I'll be thur. Planning to tailgate before the game. I have 0 tailgating gear so will probably be standing around a case or two of brews. Big game. Could be the start of a winning streak leading up to the Michigan game.

Was about to say this exactly. I'm sure we have told Wilkes many, many times how important he is and that he would be "the guy" and Wilkes knows that about himself as well. Smith is a 3/4 for year player while Wilkes is 1/2 year max and would start from day one. I don't think this would play much into Wilkes decision and I'm sure Tommy Boy is smart enough to explain this. Not too worried about it but definitely excited about the prospect of getting Smith. Hoping all works out tonight.

Feel like Blackmon could be the dark horse this year. A ton of attention around TB and OG and Blackmon could fill up the stat sheets from deep a few games. This is assuming he doesn't have a let down after the knee injury but given he performed so well in the offseason drills it doesn't seem to be hindering him much. This kid can flat out score when he's 100%. Here's to hoping he's not too much of a liability on D that he loses playing time........

Do we back off crashing the O-boards so hard this game to get back on D? The rebounding game will be huge in general but getting back on D will be crucial as well.   Double in the post and make them make outside shots?   If we're making threes and have a similar performance on the boards and TOs as we had against UK, should be a great game and a winnable one for these Hoosiers.   We're winning games in multiple ways....that's a dangerous team come late March.

It might be asking a lot of us as a 5 five seed to make it to the final four but doesn't that beg the question of why are we a 5 seed in the first place? The teams the last few years haven't shown up late in the season and while this team did rattle of 5 Big Ten wins to close out the regular season, they looked flat and almost disinterested against Michigan in the BTT which led us to a 5 seed and Kentucky looming. The expectations need to remain the same if we want this program to be keep its already slipping elite status. I don't care if it's Kentucky in the way or any other team for that matter. Simply beating them and getting to the Sweet 16 and losing after that doesn't make it a successful season in my book. It simply is what it is - a sweet 16 team and maintains the ceiling of what has been accomplished two times over the previous 4 years. Yes, the Big Ten title matters and is an accomplishment in its own. So the regular season was a success. But that portion of the year is over and the "new season" has already started on the wrong note. Final Four is success to me for IU.

I was starting to actually feel confident about this team after the 5 game winning streak. I didn't think we would throttle Michigan but thought we would show up and win. Why did it come to this?!?! I'm now almost expecting a first weekend exit. I will be happy with a final four bid BUT if we don't make it past the sweet 16, there needs to be some serious consideration of a change. There aren't a ton of great candidates out there other than BS, but it has to be debated. I honestly don't really care about Big Ten titles other than them being a nice thing to brag about. Those are quickly forgotten when you don't show up late in March.

So frustrating to watch. Where is the intensity on defense? Guys trying to play hero-ball on O, leading to turnovers.   Need more discipline.

I was at the Maryland game with a buddy of mine who lives in Indy and we were discussing next year's team and who will be back/who won't be/etc. He told me that someone who has a connection to the Blackmon family told him that if CTC is at IU next year, Blackmon won't be there. Please take this for what it is - I'm sure a lot of BS gets said that isn't true or is blown way out of proportion but wanted to put that out there as I thought it was interesting.   I tried to watch Blackmon a little bit during the game and his body language/enthusiasm isn't great. I'm sure he's bummed about watching the team do so well and not being an integral part of it but ideally someone like that is showing that enthusiasm for his teammates, especially given that they are doing so well (i.e. Rojo since he's been out). His ego has probably taken a blow too since it has been publicly stated so many times that IU has been "better without him" and maybe that makes him feel distanced from everything. We all know he's not regarded as a team-first type dude.   Again, this is maybe speculation at best but I've had this gut-feeling he's weighing options and what my buddy told me makes me wonder even more. I'd love to have him sniping next year from deep with our front line.

$9month then it drops significantly if you do the full year ($3.33/month). Still not sure its worth it.   Watching TB play D vs. Hammons and Haas showed exactly why I think the should come back. Luckily, he won't have to deal with Hammons anymore after this year. Hopefully the idea of playing with DD will help sway him.

Was going to add to convo in DD thread but thought it should go here.   I think Newkirk complements JBJ much better than Yogi does. Yogi is a great distributor but he's also a ball-dominant scoring PG that looks to get his, as he should. Newkirk seems more like a true PG distributor/defender which I think will work well with knock down shooters like JBJ and Rojo.   Add in a front line of TB/DD/OG/JM and I like that squad. Lots of rebounding and defense.   Please stay TB!! Did anyone else see the ESPN article by Chad Ford that called for the Grizzlies to specifically take Bryant late in the first round? I'm not an ESPN "insider" so I couldn't see the article but let's hope it gets buried.

After getting tickets to this game, my buddies bailed when the game was officially set at 4:30pm EST on Sunday (can't blame them too much, none of them were IU people).   I had been attempting to sell the tix but after last night, I've decided to go drive down from Chicago Sunday morning for a little day trip to Bloomington to see Yogi's last game in AH and be a part of the madness. I CAN'T WAIT.   This will be a fun one! Need to send Yogi/Max/NZ/Burton off right and get this W.   What will be the O/U on tears shed in AH on Sunday? I'd put it at 40,000.
