  1. I think this thread suffers from ADD, lol.
  2. If we do not finish strong our "84.89" rating will go down, I am not strictly a numbers guy but I want the remainder of the class to be higher 3 stars or another 4 star(s). Purdue is finishing their class just short of an 86 rating with 21 recruits and 4 - 4 stars. Are you suggesting we slack off and are good to go? "I'm chill" but want to finish strong.
  3. Regardless, we need to finish strong.
  4. I don't tend to worry too much about other teams reqruiting classes but seems like Purdue is getting some highly ranked players. We need to finish out our class strong.
  5. I believe BSU also has a receiver on the Biletnikoff watch list. So, with your observations (QB and RB) a balanced attack? Totally agree, need to take this game without question. Really need to win the other two also, as others have mentioned, little room for error this year.
  6. Hudl shows him playing line on both offense & defense. Do we know where IU figures him to play (or his preference)? Looks like another good pick up and a very good recruiting weekend!
  7. Looks like a real nice core of players to start this class!
  8. That is a real boost to this class and will hopefully draw more players of his caliber to this class. Terrific News!
  9. Thanks for posting Thompson - A nice recap of things hopefully to come by Andy Graham. Maryland, Purdue, Minnesota, and Virginia, all appear to be big games that will make or break IU this year. Looks to be a tough year but a bowl is possible with winning most of those on those on "my" list. We are due for some luck as we seemed to be on the short end of the stick in some of those close contests in recent years. Maryland still sticks in my mind from last year... I hope CTA is smiling those pearly whites at the end of the fall. If he is, I Know I will be! GO HOOSIERS!
  10. Given our recent history of injuries to QB's, having a stable of qualified guys is a plus. Adding one that comes in as a grad transfer, (polished, poised, and experienced) providing the chemistry within the QB's is good, is terrific. Hopefully they all make each other better. There isn't a position group at IU that can't take a little more depth and help, particularly as the season wears on. "LEO"
  11. Another good pick up! Keep em coming coaches!
  12. Looks like a nice pick up and a good start to this class!
  13. Sorry to confuse, yes I was talking about Thomas & Cobbs.
  14. Looks like we have a decent stable, i think we'll need it as there is a hole to fill. Bring it on Boyz! Go Hoosiers.
  15. Some very nice pick ups today! I'm surprised we didn't move up in the rankings on 247.
  16. Would love to have him on board.
  17. I was and still am all in favor of Tom Allen as the choice for head coach. It was a case just two years ago, folks were screaming because our offense played too fast and that it was killing our defense (particularly with three and outs and losing the time of possession in most games). The fact that we became more conservative on offense is not a surprise but a plus. Maybe too much of a swing but you also had to look at the talent on offense. Our recruiting classes over the past three years, were not at the level when Wilson first arrived (regardless of how we got the players). Certainly each class had some talent but not depth that we need. My concern this past year was on the offensive side of the ball and in particular the O-Line. I was hopeful of our play in QB and RB positions would be okay, but our O-line didn't gel as I had hoped. Without the guys upfront, the rest of the positions struggled. Injuries hurt in all areas offense. I am again hopeful that with another year under their belts (players, coaches, scheme familiarity etc.) our O-line will improve. With that improvement, we can be more creative. Questions again arise in all of our positions (receivers being our least concern) but without solid blocking, offensive production is not consistent. I know we have a lot of holes to fill on defense (LB in particular, and D-Line in general - depth) but I feel more confident that we can fill those gaps. We have a nice recruiting class coming in. I would have liked to see more linemen on both sides of the ball... call it a theme. We really need to retain that level of recruiting year in and year out. Six+ wins, another bowl (and maybe a bowl win!), get the bucket back! and another strong recruiting class with more linemen. Those are my wishes for the 2018/19 season.
  18. I agree that I am not overly worried about our defense, but we have lost a lot of talent on that side of the ball so a slight step back wouldn't be surprising. Lets just hope it's a small step. Offense.. if our line improves, stays healthy.. and yes improves than the other aspects of our offense will improve. Yes, it may allow us to be more creative which is also necessary. I agree next year is pivotal for us. Getting back to a Bowl will make a big difference in getting another good recruiting class, and having two strong classes in a row will do wonders for our program. I'll add, I thought the Michigan game was a huge missed opportunity. Maryland was a dagger as sloppy special teams killed us (A blocked punt returned for a TD {7 PTS}, a missed point after attempt {1 pt}, a kick-off returned deep into IU territory - good D but still a field goal {3pts}. We only lost that game by 3 points... that still makes me ill.
  19. Looks like a risk worth taking.
  20. Excellent work on keeping all of us in the loop on this class signings. Sorry to see we missed on Randy Charlton, hoping some other highly ranked prospects will be signed. How many more do you think we will take? Hoping TCA and the crew will continue to pull in quality prospects year after year.
  21. Still some spots to fill. In my little mind I would like more linemen on both sides of the ball.
  22. Looks like a nice pick up. I agree the offers list is good and I like his height. When it comes to defensive players I will go with CTA's assessment.
