Yeah, it won't happen. The owners want everyone of those 162 games WITHOUT doubleheaders so they can pile up more cash.

I say expand the playoffs to 8 teams per league. 1st round games are 3 game series with the higher seed getting all 3 games(if necessary) at home. And if they are worried about extending the season then schedule regular season DHs to account for a longer playoff season.
