  1. You are just lost in your complaints. Your reasoning for wishing that Clifton Moore had stayed is “Al Durham and McKinley Wright” and you somehow are able to judge Clifton Moore’s potential despite the fact the dude was so bad he couldn’t get on the court. If you are going to hate on Durham, at least stick with complaints about him and not a do nothing player like Clifton Moore. And I guarantee you that if Durham were to transfer, it wouldn’t be to a LaSalle like Moore did.
  2. Miller told Wright he would prefer he stay committed to Dayton but that he would have a scholarship at IU if he wanted to come. that was what was reported
  3. Facts are that there is a heck of a lot of difference in APR hit when one player leaves to when it is a mass exit.
  4. Who is this “we” you are talking about? Has anyone here said that was acceptable?
  5. I think he actually said “in the ******* basket”, not “I’m”.
  6. So the difference in the game is that other fans aren’t on your level of misery. I’ll try to be more miserable next game and see how many threes that puts in the hoop.
  7. I don’t know if this is hyperbole or not. If not, you have no business running a business.
  8. The biggest issue is that the whole is less than the individuals. There seems to be too much of the same type of players and not enough that meets need.
  9. True, but Crean did have a team with Vonleh, Ferrell, and Troy Williams that went 17-15. In terms of Dayton, I don't think anyone would say they were playing half-assed against anyone when Miller was still there. That's what has made the effort level of some players at IU so hard to swallow.
  10. To be fair....IU did win the Big Ten championship in 2015-6. Has to probably be Crean's best coaching season given that he did it while losing his leading scorer to start conference play. 27-8 and 15-3 in conference Crean's last 6 season at IU his average record was 23 and 11.5. Now we are hoping to get back to that level again.
  11. If the rest of the season is like it has been so far, we'll keep seeing peaks and valleys and be somewhere from 8-12 to 11-9 in conference. So it's all going to boil down to whether we make the tournament or not.
  12. Don't think anyone is saying that everything Crean did was 'gold'. But he won, the talent was usually pretty damn good. Miller hasn't recruited well. I see one pro on this team and he's a freshman.
  13. We played horribly and didn't deserve to win tonight. But it wasn't just that which made the game unwatchable. Post players -- both on offense and defense -- are too often allowed to get away with whatever they can. It's how a player like Myles Johnson shoots 72%. He has zero actual offensive skill....he's just stronger and bumps his way in and it's allowed. Hands defense is allowed. But move a little on a screen? Offensive foul. Touch a guy fifteen feet away? Foul. As bad as we played in the first half down seven, we came out and make a direct intent to feed the ball to TJD after the break. Three straight times we went to him....he got hammered on the first two and they made a nice defensive play on the third.....end result: 0 points, no fouls called. Bottom line, TJD couldn't play in the game tonight because as a freshman he isn't strong enough to get through the contact of the Rutger bigs. Alford Bailey is correct in terms of why people have gravitated back to the NBA game....at the NBA level, there might be calls based on rep, but in college basketball there is such inconsistency from game to game that you have no idea what is and what is not a foul.
  14. Yep, it's all on the fans.
  15. Crean was a better recruiter.
  16. I'm turning game off again. It spurred our run when we were down 12-0.
  17. The only fouls they call are the nothing who cares fouls. There is zero protection of shooters and post players in the Big Ten.
  18. Big Ten officiating is just ******* ridiculous.
  19. Two straight trips that TJD got fouled....no ******* call.
  20. Problem: we're happy when guys come in and be good 'role players'. Hunter plays 19 minutes against Ohio State, shoots the ball once, but plays good defense. Role players are fine when you have consistent offensive options. When you don't, they just become another guy that you lag off of and game plan around the one or two viable offensive options a team has. TJD isn't getting shots up because there is no reason to come out and guard anyone else.
  21. He traveled at around 2.2 seconds.....and they called it with .3?????
  22. Was honestly a big steal and bucket by Phin.
  23. TJD with his second. Likely sits the rest of the half.
