  1. Jalil Bethea, Miami (F) entering the portal. Freshman shooting guard was Miami's highest rated recruit ever (7th in the class of 2024). Played 19 minutes per game, averaged 7.1 points, 2.1 rebounds, 1.2 assists. Shot 37/33/82.
  2. How about this one.....Coaching Changes alluding to the possibility that Shaka Smart could be headed to.....South Florida. I know that Smart has lately been open about being tired of dealing with player agents, but man would him going to South Florida would be a real Shaka.
  3. I 100% believe that Woodson promised Miller Kopp a starting position.
  4. Maybe he wants to leave now so that he can drink caffeine again.
  5. One thing DeVries stated in the opening press conference was he does promise things that he wouldn't follow through on. Just from his demeanor he seems more in the camp of telling kids that 'this is where he seems them helping the team out' as opposed to promising minutes/starting positions.
  6. Link it or it's just hearsay. If DeVries wants him, bring him.
  7. Supposedly decommited from Purdue because they wouldn't promise him the court time he wanted. That said, he ended up at 17 minutes/game at BYU but his minutes were going down by the end of the year -- just 8 total minutes in his last two games.
  8. There have been guys who had been at five in five years that had a COVID year. Believe there was someone that was even six in six with a COVID and redshirt.
  9. Should be noted that devries had multiple Indiana high school recruits at Drake — mostly from northwest Indiana, a Purdue stronghold.
  10. I do wonder if Kanon Catchings will hit the portal with IU having interest.
  11. Lawson Lovering, 7'1" center, Utah. 8.4 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.7 assists.
  12. Averaged 11.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.7 assists. Shot 48% from the field including 3.7 assists. Son of NBA former NBA player and Miami assistant Malik Allen. Chose Villanova over Tennessee and Georgia.
  13. Jaden Henley, UNLV. 6'7" wing, 12.5 points, 4.2 reb, 1.8 assists, 1.6 steals. Shot 43/35/85. Previously played at Minnesota and DePaul.
  14. If Shaka Smart leaves Marquette, it would be so funny to see McCollum shun Iowa for Marquette.
  15. When I read up on their offense, it's a mark of what they do. Open shots are sometimes not taking in order to get an even better look.
  16. I know of one player that Darian let know he was leaving for Indiana. Suspect if Powell ends up at IU, there were at least two.
  17. Apparently a civil war breaking out in the West Virginia search.....there are still Bob Huggins loyalists who won't accept anyone not associated with him in some way. Sounds like Jerrod Calhoun is likely going to be the guy because he is going to be the only one that is accepted by the loyalists and the other side which just wants a good coach.
  18. Could simply be a matter of timing where Maryland is in a bit of transition bringing in a new AD and they aren't able to get their ducks in a row to counter what Villanova will offer. Maybe Maryland can bring back Mark Turgeon.
  19. Coaching Changes indicating that the Villanova board met to see where everyone was at in terms of a new coach and their leading target is Kevin Willard (Maryland). Wouldn't seem like an easy get BUT apparently Maryland's AD is about to move on to the SMU job which could handicap Maryland in keeping Willard.
  20. I will say if they get McCollum that the guys that were there are all going to be gone -- completely different skill set that McCollum and McCaffrey look for.
  21. So I had hoped to catch a good IU performance at the BTT and all I caught was Covid.
  22. DeVries is all in. He's a hell of a coach. In the end, that's what I care about the most. Going to enjoy the dance with the gorgeous prom date you have and not the anyone that said no.
  23. Tyme's connections seemed to come from someone on the previous staff. He definitely was being given some information. But it's not a surprise he missed on who the hire was given that the current coaching staff would not have been given access to that decision.
