Happy. He's an honest to God college coach who has both tons of experience as an assistant and head coach. Fact that he turned Drake around from being a horrid program to one consistently winning 25 games screams that a guy is a culture changer. Our player culture has sucked the last eight years with players more interested in things off of the court than on.

30 minutes/game, took 8 shots per game and 6 of them were from three....so was given a pretty decent workload from a freshman who wasn't ranked in the top 150 at a P5.

Harding is a very underrated player. Amazing speed and craftiness.

He got it right......eventually. He was all over McCollum and Brownell until he wasn't.

It actually wasn't the first 16. He had a stop and start year with injuries. SOme of the games were in the second half of the year.

This was to be his senior season and he only played the first 8 games before injury. He'll get another year.

Just my opinion, vindictive is not a good look.

I would only ask you to take a look at Drake's history prior to DeVries. In his five years at Drake, his teams had an average record of 25-9. In the ten years prior, Drake's average record was 13-18 and they only had a winning record' once (at 18-16).

People say Archie Miller won at Dayton but 'everybody wins at Dayton'. Prior to DeVries, NOBODY won at Drake. In the last 50 years, Drake has had 16 winning seasons.......six for six with DeVries, 10 of 44 with everybody else. Five NCAA appearances in 50 years.....three were DeVries. In the last 50 years, they had won 20 or more games 8 times. DeVries was 6 of 6, everyone else was 2 of 44.

LOVE the hire. Average record of 24-10 in seven years and 26-8 in his last four years at Drake. 49 years old, so a guy who is still on the young side of coaching. And he's an honest to God X and O college coach. Typically in the first year at a school, the offense is more about talent than coaching while on the defense it's more about effort. West Virginia was 15th in defensive efficiency this year. He gets his kids to play.

10-10 on a team that had to put together quickly and without its best player.....pretty damn good.

Or maybe Dakich just inquired about having him on since Goodman mentioned him in the search. It's good press for McCollum regardless of whether or not he is a candidate as it makes him look wanted on the national scene.
