Personally, I think most/all that hit the portal are gone. They don't seem to be a fit for the system -- with Fran it was push pace, shoot threes, not play a lick of defense.

Amir Khan has announced he's following Will Wade to North Carolina State as a graduate assistant manager. We are now in the day where student managers get recruited.

FWIW, I am going to be posting guys I think are capable of filling out a power 5 roster, whether it is at IU or elsewhere and whether it's a starter or end of the rotation guy. I'm not suggesting any guy is a fit for IU...there is a separate thread for IU interest.

Could be filling out pretty much a whole roster so you'll need guys like this -- looks like a guy who can contribute down the road if not immediately.

Jalil Bethea, Miami (F) entering the portal. Freshman shooting guard was Miami's highest rated recruit ever (7th in the class of 2024). Played 19 minutes per game, averaged 7.1 points, 2.1 rebounds, 1.2 assists. Shot 37/33/82.

How about this one.....Coaching Changes alluding to the possibility that Shaka Smart could be headed to.....South Florida. I know that Smart has lately been open about being tired of dealing with player agents, but man would him going to South Florida would be a real Shaka.

I 100% believe that Woodson promised Miller Kopp a starting position.

Maybe he wants to leave now so that he can drink caffeine again.

One thing DeVries stated in the opening press conference was he does promise things that he wouldn't follow through on. Just from his demeanor he seems more in the camp of telling kids that 'this is where he seems them helping the team out' as opposed to promising minutes/starting positions.

Link it or it's just hearsay. If DeVries wants him, bring him.

Supposedly decommited from Purdue because they wouldn't promise him the court time he wanted. That said, he ended up at 17 minutes/game at BYU but his minutes were going down by the end of the year -- just 8 total minutes in his last two games.

There have been guys who had been at five in five years that had a COVID year. Believe there was someone that was even six in six with a COVID and redshirt.

Should be noted that devries had multiple Indiana high school recruits at Drake — mostly from northwest Indiana, a Purdue stronghold.

I do wonder if Kanon Catchings will hit the portal with IU having interest.

Averaged 11.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.7 assists. Shot 48% from the field including 3.7 assists. Son of NBA former NBA player and Miami assistant Malik Allen. Chose Villanova over Tennessee and Georgia.

Jaden Henley, UNLV. 6'7" wing, 12.5 points, 4.2 reb, 1.8 assists, 1.6 steals. Shot 43/35/85. Previously played at Minnesota and DePaul.
