300% raise?
-
Woodson would be smart to leave after this season but these coaches are very arrogant and very stubborn. I could see him coming back next year and it being a dumpster fire. At that point he will no longer be loved like he wants to be. Like I said before they will not fire him because he is one of the old guard but things would get very ugly and very toxic which at some point Woodson would have to notice. Woodson will never be fired by his buddy Dolson but he will need to make a decison on his own about how long he really wants to stay.

I think you are correct I think the idea of the IU job sounded great to Woodson but the drive and 24/7 mentality you need for this job he simply does not have imo. If they wanted to do the Woodson experiment it should have been tried 15 years ago not when he is 65. The coaches who still have success later on like coach K have very capable assistants who run alot of stuff for them. Woodson has three recruiters as assistants. -

Oh I know he will not be fired now or probably ever. That was why if you are going to hire a former player you better darn make sure they are going to be a good coach. Woodson will be here as long as he wants he has quinn and all the old guard on his side and that will not change. He will have to leave on his own or we are stuck with him for years to come. I am not really sure what he would change though he has a 40 year NBA mentality and I highly doubt he would change a thing he is doing now. Coached are very stubborn. -

Trilly said on his pay site that the worst-kept secret in CBB is that Dusty May wants to IU job badly. We'll see what happens there. Nah woodson will be back and Louiseville will hire May. That is just the IU way! But like you said there will be lots of players leaving for the portal and I could see us will like 8 or 9 open spots. I get the feeling the idea of the IU job was alot more appealing to Woodson then the actual job itself is. Does not seem he lives and dies the job like you need to. -
He could not even land one guard last spring he will likely have to lower his standards on what he will accept if he is to get three guards this spring. Guys like Dalton K have no interest is coming here.
-
Given he whiffed last year on guards I am not sure why this spring will be and different. Many say results dont matter and players will come anywat but I beg to differ. I am sure guards look at his style of play and say no thanks. What is going to be his selling point this spring to guards other than we have playing time? I mean sure they can give him another year but that is not going to change what will need to happen. Its a matter of when not if at this point.

Agreed. I also knew they would never get Mack. He had a great recruiting class coming in and a great situation. Sent from my SM-J700T using Tapatalk -
