  1. I got it to load. Short article with zero proof. Basically just put his tweets into article form
  2. maybe I missed it but can tell me how it is "confirmed" he was at practice. That quote could have been from another day, over the phone, etc. Is there a video of his post-practice interview somewhere? I don't think you're wrong as I don't believe BD is in Bloomington but I'm just wondering
  3. Sorry but if he's in Bloomington, he's probably already said yes or incredibly close. I don't think he would travel to Bloomington, in the trail end of his NBA season, just to interview. My guess is he was wavering and Glass said, come on down and let me show you around - no better way to push him over the fence than by showing him cook hall, assembly and the banners
  4. Said the private jet was SOMETHING Could be anything but I'm hoping for the best
  5. Hope it's true but I have a hard time believing he'd be walking around in plain sight in Bloomington. The tweet doesn't say where he was seen but the only things he's on record saying is he's committed to the Thunder. Walking around Bloomington and risk having someone see you and grab a photo seems like an unnecessary thing to do. Unlesssssss, he plans on announcing he's taking the job. Who knows.
  6. Dude can't even put his shorts on the right way - this makes me confident it won't be Alford Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners mobile app
  7. Clearly late to the party here but who is Clavio and what has he been saying?
  8. hah! Can't tell you how many times my wife asked me why our coach was always pulling up his pants.
  9. Can you petition to remove a petition?
  10. Um, what? Bc someone posted a far-fetched theory on Mack? Are we really at the point where we're just believing every rumor no questions asked?
  11. The noise wouldn't have gotten this loud if true. Also, he would've said that when asked about returning to college.
  12. Here's what I believe: No one knows a damn thing and I need to get back to work. Time for a break from ever changing rumor mill. I mean we hear Geno Auriemma's name last night. I mean, come on.
  13. BtownInsider saying nothing has changed with him. Who the heck knows..
  14. Yes. Him and BTownInsider. I don't know how you go from basically saying an announcement for BD is probable this week to it being dead. He also said "LOWER your expectations for anything IU" which is a direct shot at our administration.
  15. 4 technicals, lulz. They should just suspend OKC for the rest of the season
  16. Hah! Why can't they all be this honest? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  17. Yup. More likely than not gona be nothing. Will be interesting to see if the BD rumors have reached the national media
  18. swimming in a pool of money, pulling up his pants
  19. Exactly. I hope Glass realizes this. Hiring Alford would be purely emotional. If he didn't play for IU, we wouldn't even be talking about him right now. Kids could care less about what a coach did 30 years ago. And in all honesty, I don't think they give two poops about our history. They don't want a history lesson on a recruiting visit, they want to hear how they'll win and get to the NBA. The history is nice, but it's 2017 - they don't care. They just want to play, compete for Championships, be seen and possibly be prepared for an NBA career. I know if Steve Alford walked into my living room, followed by Billy Donovan - it's not even close who I'd want my son playing for. I pray Fred thinks like this too.
  20. I don't think its hatred but rather frustration - with our administration. I mean, take a look at what you just wrote. "I hope the fanbase can give him a solid 3 years." Does that sound like a home run hire? Does that sound like the kind of coach we're looking for? No, that sounds like another Crean, another mediocre hire- "alright lets give him a chance and see how it goes, guys." NO. Glass needs to make the right hire NOW. A proven guy and to me, Alford just isn't that guy. It's that simple.
  21. This. No need to freak out over the search firm. They're primarily used to cross T's and dot I's. If anything, this tells me IU very close to having our next coach signed up.
  22. apologies if this was already posted
  23. We need a proven winner that also has ties to Indiana - that's the ideal candidate - you're absolutely right. Problem is, Brad Stevens is the only real guy that fits that mold and like you said, he's not coming. So, you move on to your second option and Billy Donovan is looking pretty damn good to me. Proven winner, back-to-back national championships. I mean, would you really not be happy with a BD hire? I'm honestly not trying to "attack" you rather just curious - who do you want IU to go after?
  24. Is anyone really surprised by their comments? The media is simply asking all Creans friends and family about how they feel about his firing. Of course they're all gona say it sucks, IU made a mistake, he's a great coach, blah blah blah. Not ONE of them talk about his overall record at Indiana, tournament appearances and win % - they only want to highlight his Big Ten Championships. Dear Harbaughs - NO ONE is questioning the integrity and work ethic of Tom Crean. Everyone knows how much of a family man he is, what a great guy he is and the passion he had for IU basketball. He lost his job because he didn't get the overall job done which is consistently winning, getting to the tourney and competing for National Championships every.single.year - not just every few years.
  25. I fully agree with this. Our facilities are some of the best, Assembly Hall is still one of the best/loudest venues in college basketball, Bloomington is a great college town and basketball is king at IU so as long as we keep up with all those things - the job will be elite for a long time.
