I think this all originated when one guy tweeted that he was coming to IU, but later deleted that tweet. I'd be surprised if he comes.

Hearing all of this makes happy we have Archie.

Also how college ready is Smith's game? He's obviously our highest rated recruit but I haven't really followed him as closely as I would like to. Im curious because if one of Rojo/JBJ + OG leave Smith may very well start at the 3.

Smith probably told Archie he's staying, which is why all the news is about getting Durham and Moore to stay.

Who would you expect to start over them?

If Archie has a good first year here, you gotta wonder how big that will be for his recruiting. The fanbase is excited and if he takes over Crean's roster and has them playing really good basketball that will make the entire country take notice. Honestly he has a lot of talent too. Assuming one of Rojo/JBJ stay (even better if both stay), and TB stays as rumored our roster is looking like a starting 5 of: Green Johnson/Blackmon Smith Morgan Bryant with Davis/CuJo/Newkirk/McSwain/Durham (I think he'll stay) off the bench

Not to mention IU should be more than willing to surpass anything OSU would be willing to offer Archie if he's successful here. Remember Archie turned down multiple power 5 offers (NC State comes to mind) in order to wait for the right opening. He obviously thinks very highly of the IU job.

He did some stuff with the ball last year that made you just say "wow". Improve his decision making and he mis more than capable of starting. I expect him to start over Newkirk at PG next season.

True, but every major school in the country is going to be in on this kid. Not just Duke we have to worry about. It'd be one hell of a win for Archie.

He had 6 scholarship players total one year, and still got 24 wins and won a couple tournament games? That's mightily impressive.

Where did this RoJo transfer stuff come from? I haven't heard his name come up a lot as far as transfers.

Dayton fans are pretty pissed to be losing Archie, that's always good news!

Neither Dayton nor Wichita State deserved to go home on the first weekend. Dayton got pretty screwed with their draw. Also, while we can talk about Archie's last of consistent impressive tourney success, the fact is he's taken a program that was used to going to the tournament every once in a while and taken them to 4 straight NCAA tournaments including an elite 8. (4 tournament appearances over 4 years, Dayton had been rewarded with 4 total appearances over the last 8 years before he got there). That's a solid body of work anyway you slice it. I know some people have concerns about his recruiting, but it's a lot easier to attract talented players to IU than it is to Dayton.
