Official Hoosier Hysteria Thread
Miller'sTheMan replied to FortWayneHoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Just got BTN Plus so i'll add some updates as well. -
Well, we do have the younger QB's (Ramsey, King) getting a year older. Camion Patrick will be healthy (not coming off a torn ACL) and will be moved back to RB to help the running game. We don't lose anyone on defense we can't replace due to graduation. Simmie Cobbs and J-Shun Harris back for the offense.

Nick Zeisloft - Iberostar Tenerife (Spanish Liga ACB)
Miller'sTheMan replied to ccgeneral's topic in Hoosiers in the Pros
I know there was an article from the Pacers about how Zeisloft was signed specifically for the Mad Ants, so it's probably already a done deal he ends up there. Same for Poythress. Lets hope they find success there! If Zeisloft is going to get an NBA opportunity it starts there. -

Not only that, but their only player over 6'7 averaged 3/3 last season... Not exactly great numbers, and he's a SR this rather than a freshmen you'd expect to make a big leap. Now on the positive side for MSU, I do think Nick Ward will be a nice player and his size should be enough to help out vs most 5's that MSU will face. However, lucky for us, Thomas Bryant is a lot better than your average center! -

I think Crean will probably go with Newkirk/RoJo/Blackmon/OG/Bryant, but I think putting Morgan in for Newkirk would be our best line-up, it gives us more size and as you said Morgan is a capable ball handler as well. -
OG Anunoby #1 Draft Prospect in Big Ten
Miller'sTheMan replied to Beachfront Property's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I just don't think Juwan will get the necessary shots per game to leave for the draft early. You have to think Bryant, OG, and Blackmon will all be ahead of him, RoJo probably as well. I agree though I think Morgan will be a nice player, and he's a perfect stretch 4/small ball 5 for Crean's system. He is definitely one of the more underrated players we have on the team. -
Prediction League: Indiana @ Northwestern

Here's my opinion on this: I don't think you can say it was the right/wrong call, because from the angles i've seen it was way too close to call. My issue was the refs closest to the play called it Indiana ball, and then after a huddle a different ref decided to overrule them. On a play that close, how could a ref feel so confident to overrule the guy closest to the play?

I thought Zander looked good when he played. Is he the answer? Probably not, but at this point it's probably not Lagow either. Lagow simply is at risk at throwing an interception anytime he looks to throw deep due to his accuracy issues. Will we lose a lot in the passing game with Zander? Yes, but we'd gain a lot in the running game and we'd see far less turnovers per game. I really can't stress it enough, Lagow's turnovers are absolutely killing this team.

FYI, the BTN guys were REALLY gushing over Juwan Morgan. I think he's going to have a good year. Seems to be similar to a Watford type of player to me. -
Here's the thing with Lagow, he can throw the deep ball in terms of arm strength, but his accuracy is so bad it leads to many interceptions. Zander may not have the arm to make those throws, but he won't turn it over as much either and he brings the running game to the field as well. I don't really care if we go to Zander or Cameron (Hell, even Austin King or Peyton Ramsey), but Lagow isn't getting the job done.

The amount of shooters we have on this team is insane.
