  1. DUH…What was I thinking?! LOL. Maybe I’ve normalized NIL to the point of not even considering it with these kids. LOL. :)))
  2. So many factors in the kid’s decision and what’s most important. Does he want to be part of something new and exciting in his home state? Or is the lure of big time tradition like OSU and Michigan carry more weight? Ofc, who in his mind is going to put him in the best position for his personal development and success in the end will likely be the winner. Go Hoosiers!!
  3. Good to see that the staff is keeping in touch with the younger guys. They certainly seem to be working hard…which is what they’re being paid to do. And our HC is right there leading the way.
  4. I hate seeing Siakam and Toppin handling the ball.
  5. Just keep working the south…Georgia, Florida, S. Carolina. There are plenty of kids who are 3* that want a chance to play…not just fill a roster and sit. Get them to B-ton and let Coach talk to them. Go Hoosiers!
  6. Let’s keep bringing in these big boys! We need an offensive line that pushes EVERYONE around. I mean OSU, Michigan, USC…and especially Turdue. POTFB everyday!
  7. I’m fine with recruiting him, but I didn’t think we really needed him for this coming season. So, I agree with what you’re saying regarding 2026.
  8. Do we need another guard? I’m somewhat confused by the idea of a reclass guard unless he’s the second coming of Pistol Pete Maravich…or at least my namesake, Jimmy Rayl. lol. :))
  9. Nothing like some big boys from the cheesehead state. I trust the IU staff regarding our recruiting now over years past…it’s not even close. Go Hoosiers! :)
  10. Yeah, boy! That’s the NCAA flexing their enforcement muscles, eh. It’s truly laughable! LOL. :)))
  11. Thanks for sharing. I just have a feeling that Mendoza is going to be the next quarterback in line to excel under Coach’s tutelage and playing in his system. Really excited and looking forward to this season. :)
  12. I’m a big fan of Jackson Browne too. His song writing was/is really good. Like listening to him when he was young. Like so many, he’s lost his voice now. But hell, he’s a year older than me…and I can’t sing anymore. LOL. Very fond of his song…”These Days”.
  13. I’ve read a fair amount of Kerouac and Burroughs, Ginsberg, Ferlinghetti, Gregory Corso and other Beats show up in his works, ofc. Gary Snyder also.
  14. Absolutely …Burroughs NAKED LUNCH. LOL. :))
  15. Okay, so this thread’s theme is music. I’m 75 and I like Steely Dan…a lot. LOL. :) Donald Fagan and Walter Becker are/were special…IMHO.
  16. Well, it’s for certain that both had some Dumbledore qualities. And I don’t even know or like Harry Potter, but that name seems to fit what AI said about the character. LOL. :)
  17. Peter Lorre as Ugarte…”Rick, hide me!” Humphrey Bogart as Rick Blaine…”I stick my neck out for nobody.”
  18. Define “top level” please…and your definition of success. That would help me understand what the heck you’re saying, sir. :)
  19. My wife and I were there May 19 through May 22. It had been more than twenty years since we were there. Had a great time. We had been in Belgium for eight days and then ended up in Paris.
  20. Congrats to the young man on a great rookie season.
  21. 2nd team all rookie team
  22. “Wookie season? He sounds like a wasklely wabbit to this wed hot spowtsman.” E. Fudd
  23. I think working at OSU ain’t too shabby. Stay in the BIG…and the Midwest . Who knows why anyone makes the choices they make. It’s all speculation. :)
