Good points here. I was hoping for a little more improvement but thats hard to do without a QB. And we havent gone on the typical 4 game losing streak so thats something.

Cubs should have plenty of money to maintain. They are in a group of about 10 or so teams that can do that. Most of the small market teams have to build from within and then add a few pieces at the right time to make a run. The Reds are a perfect example. Arguably the best team in baseball a couple years ago with mostly homegrown players and a few added players. But they cant afford to maintain. They get a short window then have rebuild again. It takes years. A huge disadvantage. Big market teams can reload if needed. Dont have to pay much attention to MLB to see this.... But I wouldnt give up on the Cubs yet. They are insanely talented and can win 3 in a row.

Top 5 payroll in the 3rd largest market. It would be a nice story if the Cubs won and the farm system has been great. But lets not act like they havent spent the $$.

Not specifically talking about the Cubs and I dont hate them, yet.

We've improved in many ways and regressed in others. Honestly I'm sick and tired of Knight becoming a topic every 6 months in FREAKING 2016. Move on people.

It nothing to do with winning. It was a culture change. There was a huge change between when I graduated in 1991 to 2000. I was on the tail end of a culture that said things happen, move on with your life. My childhood would require a therapist these days but I show no ill effects. I dealt and moved on. Now we live in a culture where everyone is some sort of victim. Plus social media. Some of you guys are just too young to understand the way things were.

25-6. Anything less than 24 wins is a disappointment in my book. Too much talent on this team. I said the same at the beginning of last year.
