    Great season by Illinois. Extremely talented team maybe only lacking a dominant point guard. UConn will win it Monday night. Probably Hurley’s best coaching job to date. They are just tougher than anyone else right now.

    Kenpom has Illinois at #4 and Purdue at #8. Illinois beat Purdue at Mackey, finished second in conference to Purdue at sixth yet Purdue got the higher seed. I guess it all worked out in the end.

    Nebraska I understand I’m looking more at MSU and Illinois. Lost to both at home and finished below both in conference. Wonder how often that has happened the team received the higher seed.

    Crazy that Purdue was a preseason #1. Obviously not near that level. Then get a 2 seed after finishing 6th in conference with 7 losses. Way overrated the whole season.

    $6-7 million for a middle of the pack B1G coach? You fell in love with McCollum after 3 tournament games. The difference between McCollum and DDV was a 4 year point guard.

    Agree. I wouldn’t trade. Love college football. Love the season it’s played and the excitement around a game. Hope we can right the basketball program but I prefer football stays elite.

    I’ve tried to mellow out my hate for Purdue as I get older but they always have a ****** bag on the roster like Loyer.

    I knew Purdue would go on a little run in the tournament when they got Queens as a first round matchup. Also knew that Loyer and TKR would eventually disappear which they did.

    I think Orme is the starter between the two. Not exactly an exciting start for a team that needs 4-5 starters.
