  1. I haven’t heard enough Billy Donovan talk this cycle. The Bulls are going nowhere fast. He might get fired. He might just leave, since I can't imagine it’s fun working for Reinsdorf. Old Billy D seems just as realistic as Jay Wright or Tony Bennett. Anyone know if there any horse farms on the market in the Bloomington area?

  3. If former coaches don't have insider information, then I don't know what to tell you.
  4. Regarding your concern about Stevens’ hunger for the day to day coaching activities… In what world is the Team President of the NBA Champion Boston Celtics moving back to Indiana to be a college head coach without being fully committed? Most people outside Indiana fans are laughing at the mere concept. Only someone that has an emotional connection to this job would even consider making that move. If Stevens is moving to Bloomington to coach the Hoosiers, there is no doubt his heart is in it.
  5. I think I remember unlocking that character in NBA Jam.
  6. Make a case for Dusty May you say? There are many details to seriously weigh He learned from Coach Knight who turned many away Dusty won a title in Conference USA He reached a final four held in Houston’s sunny rays Dusty has given Wolverine fans many happy days His teams really like to shoot the trey Dusty was born in I-N-D-I-A-N-A And if the Hoosiers can provide suitable pay It is a place he is destined to return to one day
  7. Even with my LASIK surgery, I’ll admit that from 90,000 feet away Mark Turgeon and Brad Stevens are pretty indistinguishable.
  8. Even if the quote is not a direct denial, you just have to take what Stevens and Goodman say at face value until proven otherwise. It may not be satisfying, but I think it’s pretty unlikely Stevens is our next coach.
  9. I actually 100% agree with this. Stevens or a rep told Goodman what to print, which was deliberately concise. I don’t think we land Stevens, but him making sure Goodman use this language is interesting. It’s either a legit rejection of the Indiana coaching position, letting us down easy this time. (certainly most likely) Or it’s a soft denial, where the quote never mentions Indiana, and the “not a candidate” language is not directly attributed to Stevens. This would be a simple deflection, that gets journalists off his scent, and would be easy to explain away later. Again I don’t think he’s going to be our coach, but it’s certainly not a masshole press conference level denial.
  10. For those wondering, here is the original tweet that Goodman referenced.
  11. If this isn't proof that Brad is our next coach, then I just don't know what else to say to you Debbie Downers.
  12. I'm pretty sure he got the standard btownbanners background check that all of us went through. Credit Check Drug Test Email your social security number to Stuhoo Send a stool sample to Hovadipo Safe to say that he's been vetted.
  13. Isaac, if this falls through you know what’s coming…
  14. Ponying up that cash for Bradley...
  15. Couldn't help but notice that Brad wore #31, and there is no doubt as to why he chose that number. It certainly reflects a sense of local pride.
  16. True, but at least then the team would currently be doing well. I'm less worried about what we pay the coach after some results are in.
  17. Maybe they should chant "We can do better than Dusty."
  18. Either Stevens is going to be our next coach, or this is perfect timing to negotiate a new contract.
